Question about PlateMates

Is it safe to assume that Plate Mates cannot be used with rubber-coated dumbbells or plates? I was hoping they could be, but I doubt it. Any idea?

I think the general consensus is unfortunately, no, they can't be used safely with rubber coated DBs.

I have been using PaceWeights, not PlateMates, and they have been sticking to my rubber coated dumbells. Yours may be different. (Got mine at Wallyworld)
