Question about gauchos

Okay I just bought some cute new black gauchos. Or maybe they are cropped pants - I don't know how they decide what to call them!
Anyway, they come to about mid-calf and they could be dressed up or down with a jacket, sweater, etc.

It's not cold enough to wear boots with them yet, but it seems kind of late in the year to have bare legs. Should I wear black (sheer) hose with them - or go bare-legged?

What's the material? If it's a dressy material made of wool or a wool blend I think you should probably wear hose. If it's a more casual material like cotton you can go bare.

No lining. I got them for travel - comfortable and no wrinkling!

I used to be able to dress myself - really I did! - but for some reason when I go in stores now I get so confused!

Thanks for your help!

I think it depends on the weather. I'm still running around in black rayon gaucho pants with high-heeled sandals. And I'm up north, and you're down south. I refuse to put on socks until the temperature dips below 50 degrees. :p
