Question about chest work in STS

I don't do chest work at all. Anything that pulls hard on the pecs. Even tricep dips. I've had 3 breast augmentations due to 2 implant failures. My plastic surgeon said "NO" chest work. I skip thru the chest work when doing a Cathe DVD or any DVD for that matter. My question is will I be able to skip thru chest work in STS without adversely affecting my results. In another thread you mention push/pull for one of the cycles. Instead of doing chest/back will it be OK to tack back work onto the shoulder or arm workout. Of course I'm assuming the workouts will be grouped this way but basiclly I just want to know if it's OK to skip the chest work and still gain the results expected with STS.
Thanks.

I, too, need to avoid chest and most shoulder work. I am a Dental Hygienist and I have been in physical therapy for a over a year. After not working out for 3 weeks due to an overseas vacation, I discovered that the nature of a lot of my pain was the chest and shoulder workouts with Cathe. Physical therapists who specialize with Dental Professionals recommend that we not do strengthening exercises for these areas as they are greatly used in our daily work and lead to injuries. Instead it is recommended to put more emphasis on back and core.
I am also curious as to whether I will benefit from the STS as what little work I do for chest and shoulders, I use very light weights. Also, push-ups are out of the question because they cause so much tightening of the chest, it is difficult for me to work.
I would appreciate your input.
Thanks.

wow!

I'm really surprised by this. I am a dental hygienist (now no longer working, raising my children) I always worked my chest and shoulders and never had a problem. I know you want a strong back and core, but I would think you would still want to work your chest and shoulders, just not as hard.
I guess you learn something everyday.
