Quenstion regarding yoga/pilates

You all seem very knowledgeable about exercise and what can be done/not done.

I was wondering if I was using the Kathy Smith's New Yoga or Suzanne Deason's Yoga for Weight Loss, can I do the Pilates for Weightloss (Suzanne Deason) or Ana Caban's Pilates Mat workout for beginners on the same day? Should they be seperate days? Should I do them in the same week?

At the moment, I am doing the Pilates and yoga every otherday with Wednesday/Thursday off. I am also walking 1-3 miles a day. I was hoping to do the yoga in the morning and Pilates/walk in the evening.

Any suggestions? I really like do these types of exercise because I can tend to my child in the middle of it and not totally foul myself up - ok the relaxation part is shot, but I still seem to benefit.

I don't see why not. They are similar yet different enough - I have a couple of tapes that have 20 min. yoga and pilates routines on the same tape - I would love to do them together - I just don't have the time.
 
I'm sure it would be fine too. Some women take 2 hour yoga classes at Health Clubs and hour-long Pilates classes are common too. I have both of those Pilates tapes and I'd think they'd compliment eachother. -- Renee
