Q for K60!

This should have been in the dog thread but I thought it might get lost. Anyway, since one of your puppers has no teeth I was wondering if he drools alot and if so what, if anything, do you do? I'm pretty sure my little Charlie will adjust but it's kinda gross having dog drool in the bed. I was thinking about tying a bandana loosely around his neck at night to absorb some. Mine also eats like a fiend - I've never seen a dog so passionate about food!

TIA if you have any advice!

That's a good idea. Mine doesn't drool for some reason although he doesn't have a tooth in his head, but his tongue falls out the side when he's asleep. Pretty funny.

He eats dry food too. Just swallows it.

I think the whole breed is like that with the eating.

Well, if yours doesn't drool then there's hope for Charlie. He just had his extraction surgery 2 wks ago so he's still adjusting. He does have a few teeth left but we're going to have to pay very close attention to them with frequent vet visits because the gums are receded. His tongue sticks out the side of his mouth sometimes too which always makes me laugh. My dachsie puppy isn't really a chow hound he usually actually leaves food in his bowl but from what I've read on the breed this is the exception not the rule.

Thanks for the response!
