PYGFO Monday....

Hey my friends...

I'm BAAAAAACK!!

So, I got back Saturday, but as fast as our cruise was on, it was gone!! No time for down time. Coming home is almost worse than what you were getting away from, isn't it? I mean, I am still catching up on stuff. Anyway, our cruise was wonderful. The best part was being with my family and just enjoying them. It's been a while since we haven't had to rush to meet deadlines and were able to just eat every meal together and laugh together. I also love vacationing with my parents, they are such a trip!! Um, can we say that there's just way too much food on these cruises?? The plates are the size of a serving platter, and if you have cruised you know I'm not making that up. There is just 24 hours of the most decadent food you can imagine. I went so the other way to try and be careful that I think I lost a pound or two!! I loaded up on all fruits and vegetables and stuck with only fish. I went to the gym every day and also took a couple of classes. They also have a running track outside and I did that twice. It didn't hurt my knees at all either, much better than the track I go to here at the high school. Wooohoo.... Bermuda was so beautiful. we had perfect weather. Funny, my mom bought me a coat... I went to Bermuda, a warm tropical place and came home with a winter coat. Ironic, no? But, this coat is one of a kind and it looked pretty cute ( if I must say so myself) so my mom just grabbed it and said she was buying it for me. Who am I to argue??

Oh, BTW, yours truly climbed the rock wall ( they have one on the ship!) for the first time. As soon as I have the pics I will post them! I was so nervous, but DH and one of my DS's did it too. I didn't make it all the way up, but I did make it about 3/4 of the way. It was scary, the wall is on the top deck ( 14) on the ship, and that puts the top of the wall 200 feet above the ocean... yowza!

I haven't had much of a chance to catch up on all my missed threads, so I will do that probably tomorrow. My boys started recording the new album today. My DH is at the studio with them. I am so excited for them. A little overwhelmed, but excited.

There's some new classes in the works that I will be teaching. One of my PT clients works at a Cerebral Palsy Center and there are about 25 people involved in a "Big Loser" challenge. I offered to come there to do my cardio/sculpt classes. She called the director after our session this morning who loved the idea, we made up flyers and sign up sheets and I'm starting Thursday. Just like that!!! So, it's good for some extra money. Hopefully teaching two more classes won't kill me!! Although this will be 8 classes per week, plus clients, plus my own workouts. Unfortunately I have not been able to fit in dance classes much, and I miss them, but I need to make a living so I have to do what I can. Anyway, either I will be in the best shape of my life or I will collapse... hmmmmm.....

Okay, I must run right now. I will be back later and hopefully by tomorrow I will have some time to find out exactly what I have been missing in Catheland.

I really missed all my PYGFO friends. Hope you are all great!!! Have a wonderful day. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Vickie! I'm glad you got home safe and sound and that everyone enjoyed the trip. We are currently planning our March trip to the Virgin Islands and I can't wait. And it sounds like you are all jumping right back into the thick of things with both feet! Maybe you'll get some new clients from the extra classes you'll be teaching. DH and I used to rock climb a bit in our younger days. I hated it - he loved it. I finally said I quit and let him go by himself. We are also planning a trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons with my sister and her DH over the summer and DH is planning on taking a one day climbing school at the Tetons. I think the rest of us will take a shopping day that day.

I've been a busy little bee today. I met a friend for breakfast, then came home and did BBC arms, abs, and cardio. Then back into town to drop my car off at the garage. Back home to do some gardening and now I'm just relaxing. I think my chores for today are done. Tomorrow it's back to work.

Hope the rest of you are having a fun filled Monday.

Good Afternoon PYGFOers!

This morning I did PS Back and Biceps and 4ds KB abs (enjoyed!) and run 3 miles. I still have not done any of the weight work on the new 4ds. I'm waiting for Cathe's November rotation.

Vicki--We missed you and glad you are back!! Glad you had a good time on your cruise with your family. I have not ever been on one. You are probably the only person who could go on a cruise and LOSE a lb.!!! Such discipline! And rock climbing...impressive!

Robin--Sounds as if you have some fun trips planned....Virgin Islands, Yellowstone and the Tetons, huh? Fun!

Gin:)

Vickie, what a wonderful time it sounds like you had! What ship were you on? Back in '05 DH and I cruised on Mariner of the Seas with RC, and they had a rock climbing wall. It was a great ship. And yes, way too much food. It was ironic because I had done this big weight loss campaign to lose 25 remaining pounds of baby weight from DD. I wanted to fit into a certain dress for formal night. I made the goal--then I go on the cruise with absolutely decadent food! I was like you--really tried to eat healthy, in spite of the opportunity for total gluttony! Welcome back. Try to go easy and don't lose all the benefits of your great vacation in your first week back!

Robin--yay for doing gardening. That's one thing I'm really missing while I'm in the States. I have an absolutely gorgeous garden back in Uganda. For a while, there was a landscape architect in our town, and he put the garden in for me. With perpetual summer, you can imagine that I have a tropical paradise. It's a haven for me!

DH is down in S. TX on his ride. Actually, he has ended up not being able to ride because the lady who was supposed to drive the support vehicle ended up in the hospital. So he is driving the support vehicle because he's the only one who wasn't doing the WHOLE ride, just a portion. He is BUMMED, but he is the hero of the day for the other guys. If he hadn't been there, the whole crew would've had to stop. So he had saved the ride for the other guys.

With him gone, I haven't gotten a workout in yet (I always depend on his help getting 3 kids off to school in the am), but the day's not over yet. Maybe once I get kiddoes down . . .

Laura, I'm sorry your DH didn't get to ride. The weather was so lovely today I considered getting my bike out, but the day got away from me. As far as gardening goes, I wish I loved it. I hate it. I can't grow a thing. I can't keep up with the few flower beds I have. I keep telling myself that someday, when I'm retired, I'll have the time to really devote to getting the landscaping done and to keep up with it. You'd think with a horticulture major living in my house that our landscaping would be beautiful. Emily keeps bringing plants home from school, but she never does anything with them. Oh well.

Michelle, I previewed Amy's ASC2 this afternoon. I really think I'm going to like this workout.
