Pushups - Weekend

Hi all! I think this is the first time I've started the pushups thread. Wonder where everyone is? Hopefully out enjoying this Fall weekend! I did Week 6, Day 2 (col 3) today: 22/22/30/30/24/24/18/18/57. Followed with MM, minus the pushups and the abs.

Debbie, you might want to try re-testing again, since your chest muscles might have been kind of fried from all the work you'd done earlier. Still, 33 pushups is nothing to sneeze at. That's great progress! Great work!

Becky, you go girl! 190 pushups! Wow!! Good luck on Monday starting over on your toes. You can do it!!

I forgot to do my push-ups yesterday. Today is my day off and after my 1st ever 5mile run yesterday there was no way I wasn't giving myself the day off! :pI have THE BEST! running partners! Could NOT do this on my own! Sort of like you guys getting me through the push-up challenge! Soooo, tomorrow will be my last day of round 1 then starting all over!

I'm with Jodi ~ I hope y'all are out enjoying the weather! It has been beautiful here this week!

Tami update ~ Maynard had surgery again! He now has his own credit card...now she's working on getting him a job! ;) He came home today and is doing well. Although due to his wire muzzle he is now known as hannibal lechter! :eek:

Glad to hear he's doing well. Poor doggie...I would like to think that he's learned his lesson, but I know doggies don't think that way. Hopefully he will be more careful about what he eats in the future! Tell Tami we hope he continues to do well, (((hugs))) to her and to Maynard!

where would I find the info on the 100 push up challenge? I did a search, but have to admit that I did not want to wander through many more (as there are hundreds!) the dailies to find out. so I apoligize if this is somewhere I should have been able to find it...

I see that some reference some sort of daily/weekly training schedule... would you be so kind as to tell me where to find this information?

I did week 4 Day 2 on Friday....it was alright I guess...still struggling on the last set...and it's a repeat week...so we'll see how tomorrow goes, and maybe I'll do the test after that, but I might repeat the week for the third time, but I don't care! ;)

Jodi: I'll look it over and see about getting everything set up and may join you here soon :)

another question to anyone: do you use any risers like handles or do them on the floor... or whatever is most comfortable? I can't do as many PU's with my hands on the floor as I can using a handle... does this work the muscles any different to use them?
