Hi Cathe!
Its been ages since I did the PS Series & this week I pulled it out of the collection. I just had to take a moment to gush! :)

PS is an absolute masterpiece! Everything about it is so professional & straight forward (even the sweat band!- I still wear one too in the summer!);-)

The pointers, the exercise choices, the modifications for easier & harder....its all priceless!

Thank you for producing workouts that are timeless! Thats where I think you are leaps & bounds above the industry...Your DVDs are worth every single penny - I havent been disappointed in anything - ever!

To folks looking for a great series to use while awaiting STS arrival...take the plunge with PS....Its the best!

Traci~ Funny you should write this.... I started a PS rotation just last week and was thinking the same thing- timeless!! I love these workouts! I love the warm ups, the exercise choices, the 10 reps per set; everything! A straight up great workout! The leg work alone was worth the series.(I always thought L&G was my favorite, till I did this workout again) I really appreciate (sp?) this series now that I am lifting heavier. I had been raving in my check in all week last week about how wonderful this series is!!

It is a truely great series, that is totally underrated!! I even used a 1RM based on my last months "stats" from 4DS and it really helped me with PS!! Okay, now I'm gushing!!LOL

"PS is an absolute masterpiece!"--I couldn't agree more!!:) :)

Thank you! Thank you! Cathe!!

Pure Strength is really one of my all time favorite strength workouts. It is my "go to" when I can't decide what I want to do. I really like its straightforwardness. I had it on VHS and liked it so much I got a DVD of it after the VCR gave up.

Ditto everything Traci said! The workout wear and set may be dated, but the exercises are timeless and it's a favorite of mine. :)

I haven't found another fitness instructor whose DVD's match the quality or production values of Cathe's. I'm happy to pay more for them.

Pure Strength series is what I started with in 1999, I've been
doing it again in rotations last year and this year. It feels just
perfect for me to get ready for STS.

I am amazed at how heavy I can lift now with this series, you
sure grow with it literally!!!! It is timeless, I love it:)

The timing on the breaks in the leg work out is perfect and the info Cathe shares is so informative. Gotta Love her :) :)

Just my 2 cents :) Brigitte

Traci's post inspired me to dust of the PS this week. I did CST this morning, and was glad I did. Thanks for the reminder, Traci!! I'm thinking now of rotating weeks of 4DS, GS, and PS until STS arrives.

Cheers,
Sandra

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pure strength. A long time ago there was post about how much people disliked it. I could never figure that one out b/c I have always loved it.

I use PS Chest Shoulder Triceps almost weekly...in fact, before DS#2, I used PSCST probably 2x per week, and my triceps were smokin'!! I mean it! I never brag, but they were FINALLY in the best shape ever.....a stranger approached me 1 night and remarked how great they looked....in fact, he came back a 2nd time and asked if I worked out, because he had never seen triceps on a woman like mine before....made me damn proud!!!Bittersweet, since I still have pregnancy weight to lose and my arms are now REALLY CHUBBY!!!But, wouldn't trade DS#2 for my old triceps...just gives me another project to work on....

I agree about using PS Series, I only have PS Strong Legs and Abs on VHS and will soon be purchasing the series on DVD along with Gym Styles Series.

I completly agree with Traci's post. I've only been doing Cathe workouts for the past couple of years, but when I posted a question about a problem with doing deadlifts someone (sorry, I can't remember who) suggested PS. I bought it and now I love it. Even though I am not new to lifting weights, PS has helped me with my form in many ways. It was a great purchase.
