PURE STRENGTH QUESTION

Hey! I have been doing PH twice a week for about a month now and just LOVE it! I got PS and haven't done it yet. I wanted to start it this week and was planning on doing each tape once. IS this enough weight work to see results? I'm used to doing 2 hour-long full body weight workouts each week, and 3 cardios. I'm very excited to try the PS series cause I've heard such good things about it. But I wanted some opinions on how often I should do each tape. I'm pressed for time so I can only do each tape once throughout the week and manage to keep my 3 cardio workouts. THANKS FOR THE HELP!
Healthy Regards,
Sara

Hi Sara - I like to keep my workouts under 60 mins per day so I do each PS tape once per week and alternate that with some cardio. I have been very happy with my results. I personally find that I do not really need to do each PS tape more than once a week as long as I go really heavy each time I do it. Normally I use PS like this:

day 1 - PS BBA plus 20 mins on elliptical
day 2 - IMAX
day 3 - PS SLA
Rest and Strech
Day 4 - one hour cardio (hi/lo, kickbox or Circuit Max)
Day 5 - PS CST plus walk or yoga or pilates
Day 6 - Rhythmic Step

Sometimes I like to work my muscles twice per week plus get in 3 cardios, so I do:

day 1 - IMAX
day 2 - PS CST plus lower body from MIS
Day 3 - PS BBA
Day 4 - Rhythmic Step
Day 5 - PS SLA
Rest and Stretch
Day 6 - MIC (hi/lo portion only) plus upper body from MIS

Hope that helps and enjoy PS. It is a fantastic strength training series.

I do the following:
Sat. PS C/S/T and a CTX cardio
Sun. PS B/B/A amd a CTX cardio
Mon. PS SL/A
Tue. Cardio
Wed. MIS
Thu. Cardio
Fri. Rest
Or try this:
Sat. PS C/S/T and B/B/A
Sun. Cardio
Mon. PS SL/A
Tue. Cardio
Wed. MIS or PH
Thu. Cardio
Fri. Rest
Both of these rotations have given me tremendous strength gains (especially the first rotation). Have fun!!!
