Pulled/strained a muscle in my toosh

Has anyone done the same thing? I think it was too many lunges too soon.

How long until you were healed and could get back to workouts & did you do anything in particular, like stretching? (I suspect my IT band is involved (not sure how but the trainer will tell me, I'm sure), since I deal with a very tight one.)

I just had this problem yesterday. I am not sure what did it. I did Boot Camp on Monday and then Step Works on Tuesday. When I was doing the lunges in Max Intensity Strength yesterday with my left leg forward, I just could not get proper form or go very deep. It was my outer glute/IT band area.

Last night, I would do various stretches for the IT/outer thigh/glute area every couple of minutes, giving it a break in between stretches. It is much better today but still not 100%. I am going to use a foam roller tonight when I get home and see if that helps.

I know tomorrow's workout has lunges and I want to make sure I can do them properly so I'm hoping the foam roller works the last kinks out.

I hope yours heals quickly. It stinks to have injuries that limit your workouts.
 
Everything you are doing is what I'm doing so I guess I'm on the right track. I pulled my foam roller out (love/hate relationship) but didn't get to use it last night. I'll use it this afternoon as I stretch that IT band. Man, that thing has given me nothing but trouble off and on for 4 years!
