PS Series

LAST EDITED ON Apr-06-02 AT 00:15AM (Est)[p]I'm thinking about ordering the PS DVD but I'm not sure if I have all the equipment that I will need. I have a step with four risers, a 15lb barbell, various weight plates and dumbells. What else will I need for this workout? Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me.

Hi Kristie,
You will need exactly what you have. A 24" long 2x4 piece of wood will also help but is not essential at the beginning. This is for calf raises. I put mine on my step so my carpet/carpet pad doesn't bend the wood under my feet when I'm doing the calf raises with my toes on the 2x4.
Hope this helps.

Hi Kristie,
I think you have everything you need. Cathe uses a body bar for the floor leg work in PS L&A, but you can use your barbell without any plates on it, or ankle weights, or you can hold a dumbbell on the upper part of your leg with your hand to do those exercises. If you have the wedding video, Cathe demonstrates how to hold the dumbbell on the upper part of your leg. I don't bother with the 2x4 for calf raises. I really like the PS series! Good luck!

Hey Kristie, Cathe also uses a 12" small step in the lower body tape. I just use my firm fanny lifter, but she uses four risers on top of each other with a top that looks like a mini step, now that I add it up in my head, maybe its 10" not 12"? Maybe someone else can clarify. Anyhow, you can always just use your regular step with the double risers if you have too. Judy
