protein powder used in recipes

I have a few recipes that call for protein powder and didn't know if this would be the same powder that is used in drinks or if there's something specifically used for baked goods.

I have always used whatever protein powder I have on hand and my recipes have always come out fine. I think there is something at the health food store that is used for baking but I personally do not think you need to go out and buy something extra.

For baking, use a protein powder that is primarily only protein NOT a meal replacement mix (like Myoplex or MetRx). Other than that, I have found that any vanilla flavored protein powder will work well without changing the flavor of what you are trying to make.
 
Yes, there are some unflavored ones out there, or vanilla. I use the grocery store brand of soy protein that's cheap for baking and most uses and buy myself some Spirutein as a treat.
