does anyone have a brand they like? I want the sugar free. I need more protein daily besides all the healthy food I eat daily.I am going to pick some up tomorrow and start putting in in my smoothies, cottage cheese ect.

Have a great day and thank you

Deb:)

Hi Deb,

The one I use isn't sugar free but it only has 2g of sugars per serving. I think it's quite tasty! I'm using Designer Whey. I've also heard WONDERFUL things about Whey Gourmet. So far I really enjoy the Designer Whey, though, and I found it on sale at GNC earlier this week.

Hi Deb. I use Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Protein. I buy natural vanilla, that one is sweetened with fructose only (no aspartame, sucralose, etc.) It has to be "natural" vanilla not regular because the regular one it's sweetened artificially. I don't drink it every day; just when I know I haven't eaten a lot of protein throughout the day. If you're curious, I buy all my supplements from nutritionexpress.com

I've been using Designer Whey for years. Comes in the standard chocolate, vanilla & strawberry flavors as well as a natural that you can stir into other foods without dramatically altering their flavor.
I recommend it.

I tried looking at the GNC website. However, prices are not listed. Can you give me a rough price of this powder (Designer Whey). Also, when I typed in "Designer Whey"...Mega Wheye Extreme came up. Is that the same product???

Thanks all!

Tanya ~

The Designer Whey has been on sale at GNC for at least 2 months now. I believe its regular price is around $24. but its sale price has been around $18. I suspect they're bringing in a "new, improved" product. Probably the same stuff w/ a new wrapper (Mega Whey, perhaps?) and higher price.

Kim,

Ah ha! Thanks so much! Price is a HUGE factor for a single income family! EEK! But, this is completely doable!

You may be right on target with the new label name. It had all of the same info. 2 grams sugar, 1 gram fat and 60 SCREAMING grams of PROTEIN! Wowza! I sure hope it tastes good with all of that protein!!!

Thanks so much Kim!

I use this one too, cause i get it at Costco in a huge container. I can't remember specifics on the nutrients, although I always read labels. Let me know if you have any questions & I'll go look.

Thanks everyone

I am going to look on line or go check our vitamin store. We don't have a GNC locally. I like the idea of 60 grams of protein in 1 serving. I got a small can at the grocery store last week it is sf but only has 17 grams per serving. I will use it up and look again.

Thanks everyone

Have a nice day

I have tried at least 25 kinds of protein powder, and, to me, the best, by far is Unjury. They have chocolate, vanilla, and unflavored. You can mix the unflavored into soups, potatoes, oatmeal, etc. All 3 flavors are great in coffee or milk. It's the only brand that doesn't have a disgusting smell when you open the container.

So far Designer Whey has been my favorite. I've bought several kinds and could hardly use them they tasted so bad, I have one now that looked so good in print, but it tastes awful. I might just have to chuck it.
