Yes, they do come in shorts. I have a pair by Asics. They are so soft and comfortable--I love them. I think they would be considered walking or running shorts but they have a longer inseam than your standard running short. I have this pair:

ETA I don't have any long pants because I get too hot, but I know I've seen some with panty liners at Dick's.
