Problems with Sunless Tanner

How many of you have problems with sunless tanner? I have fair skin and have been using the dark. It looks great the next day, but after that, I begin to look like an alligator. It wears off splotchy looking and my skin looks dry, papery, and itchy.

In addition, I have been putting it on at night so that I am tan in the morning and the tint in the foam I have been using makes my sheets brown. It is so gross.

Madonna,

I use Tan Towels. Nothing to some off on clothes, sheets... even tan every single time, I won't use anything else. Just unfold the towel and starting rubbing until towel is dry.

Are you exfoliating and moisterizing BEFORE you apply?? Use a body scrub and a light lotion...Wait about an hour, then apply...Be sure to use a light moisturizer EVERY day (especially after you shave your legs) that you've got a tan (natural or not)!!

I have fair skin too!!

I found a sunless tanner this year i really love, it is Endless summer medium color tanner. The smell is so so, but the tan always looks natural.

I second what MJ said, be sure to exfoliate and moisturize EVERY day.
I also read on sunless.com to moisturize BEFORE you apply your self tanner.

Has anyone tried the Jergens Natural Glow yet??

Yes! Love the Jergens Natural Glow. It takes a few days to build up on your skin but it gives it a really nice natural color. I haven't been in the sun in a few weeks but you'd never know it!

I use the fair skinned one so I'm not sure how dark the other ones get.
