premix suggestions please?

Cathlete
I have all of cathe's workouts and would like to use premixes that have cardio first then weights!

I'd really appreciate your input since its difficult to know what the premixes consist of without previewing them! Unfortunatley I dont have that extra time to go through them ! I was disappointed yesterday when I did SJP's step/hi-lo/weights premix! I thought it was all step, then all hi-lo then all weights! Boy was I wrong, I had to keep pulling out the step and putting it back-lil annoying but still pushed through since I wanted to get my workout in a timely fashion before work!

TIA for your suggestions or links to premix breakdowns!

PS I'm surprised breakdowns are not on this website! You'd think there would be a huge demand and need for them!

Here are links to the premixes from the Body Blast Series:

Here's a link to a link at VF for the latest releases:

I know that when you click on the links to Cathe's DVDs here, there is a tab at the top listing the premixes, although it isn't a thorough breakdown of them.

Also, this link at VF is helpful:

Sorry I don't have one concise location for breakdowns.

VERY HELPFUL,Diane, THANK YOU!

Do you have any recommendations for premixes that have all cardio then weights or vice versa? The sporadic equipment changing in sjp's premix drove me insane ;-)

Thanks again for your time and reply!

I can't think of any that are designed that way. You would probably have to do a cardio premix and skip the cooldown, then find a weights only premix and skip the warm-up. You'd have options for this on Cardio and Weights, SJP, LIC, Bootcamp, etc - you get the idea.

Thanks again for your input!

Hopefully in the future their will be premixes for an option to do all cardio before or after weights, in the meantime , I'll do as you advised and skip forward ;-)

Best regards,

Premixes are taken from the original workout (or, in case of the Intensity or BodyBlast Series - workouts) and mixing up the order in which the segments are played. For instance, a workout that is designed as a cardio/weight circuit might have premixes that play only the cardio segments or the weight segments. Premixes can give you options for longer or shorter workouts, or be upper or lower body focused.

The "Insert Card" that you see on the BodyBlast listings are where helpful instructions pop up on your screen between segments. For instance, if you had been doing step and the premix is going to continue with weights, it will prepare you for that.

For suggestions - well, perhaps you should start a new thread and ask. It's helpful to know what you are interested in, your goals, and what level you are.

Delphene,

I discovered that with that particular premix last week. What I did was stop it, and chose to do the Step/Hi Lo premix, skipping ahead to where I left off. Then I added the premix for the weights only afterwards. It worked out the same, and I didn't have to keep putting the step away. Hope it helps you the next time. :)

It might help to work off the 'Mix and Match' menu. This way you can design your own mix. When you finish a a chapter using Mix & Match, it takes you back to the menu and you can select whatever chapter you like. So you have the choice to choose all cardio chapters and then move on to weight ones.

If you really like a particular chapter you can repeat is easily with hardly a pause.

This has been helpful for me doing PP and SS. Because in that WO most exercises are only one set, but I will often repeat a set.}(

Wow I have to try that Judy, thank you!

I had an awesome workout today! I did SJP premix doing all step/hi low-then add on of weights (using tubing and stability ball)then selected abs and cooldown! Perfect sequence for me! Thanks for the suggestion !

ps ( I'll program this same format with the mix and match if I can figure it out next time!)
