premix help?

I think I'm confused. Can anybody help me on "premixes"? What are they exactly. I usually just put my dvd in and click on the first workout and go. Are there several workouts on a dvd? Do you mix and match workouts from one dvd? Help! :eek:
 
Premixes don't exist on the earlier workouts (earlier than the Intensity Series, I think), but on later workouts, there are pre-programmed workouts based on the workouts on the DVD. They can be shorter or longer than the workout 'as-is,' repeat certain sections, combine segments from more than one workout, etc.

For example, on the PLB/PUB DVD, there are premixes for upper body 'up-only'pyramid, upper body 'down-only'pyramid, lower body 'up'only' and 'down-only,' and a premix (called "Bonus") that is a full body workout.

The KPC/L&G workout has several premixes for each workout, plus several premixes combining elements from both workouts.
 
Oh my goodness, you haven't experienced the premixes? You haven't lived!!!;) A premix is where Cathe takes pieces from the workout and puts them together differently. For instance, on a full body weight workout, like Musclemax, there is usually an upper body option, a lower body option, a timesaver, etc.

On the menu screen, there's usually a few options. On the Hardcores, for example, she has "Introduction", "Play Workout", "Chapters", "Mix and Match" and "Premixes". If you highlight and click on Premixes, a whole new world will open up for you! The premixes on the Body Blast series are particularly brilliant.
 
Thanks Kathryn and Shelley! I guess I need to get brave and explore a little more. Can't wait for the new series to come out, looks like alot of premixes on the new dvds! Thanks for your help!:)
