Hi Everyone! I didn't see this post in a while, so I thought I would start is for this week. I hope everyone is doing well. Has anyone been affected by Hurricane Ivan? I live in PA, so we just got slammed on Friday night into Saturday. We live near Harrisburg, and the Susquehanna River is close. It caused a lot of flooding, but luckily, where I live, it is dry. The only thing we have to do is boil water before drinking. We didn't have school today because of the water problem, so my DH and I took advantage of the time and did some housework that we have been putting off.

I have most of my pre-pregnancy energy back-yahoooooooo!!!!:7 Lastweek, I exercised 4 out of 7 days (much better than my typical one or two). I did KPC (with modifications), walked a lot, did a workout on the Bowflex and went to the gym (cardio and upper body).
Lastnight, I did some of the Legs and Glutes DVD.

I had my 2nd dr. checkup last Tuesday, but it was really quick! They took my weight, height, blood pressure and checked for the heartbeat with the Doplar. Everything was fine.

I am glad to see that we have some new members who joined us recently. Welcome:) !

I hope that everyone is doing well, and I hope to hear from you all soon!

Hi Jen,

I had a pretty bad cold during the week of 9/6 so I got knocked off the exercise wagon for a while. I am now just getting back into my routine. In the mornings, I've been doing quick workouts since I am so tired. Mostly I've been sticking to tamilee webb workouts like I want that body workouts. In the afternoons, my friend and I go to curves 3x a week.

I'm starting to feel some morning sickness but it's not too bad. It just feels like a little sea sickness at times. Only a week and a half before my first drs appointment! I can't wait!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi Imani! Thanks for posting. Where is everyone???
I bet you are excited for the first appt. I was very excited (and nervous all at the same time). I just wanted that extra assurance that I was, indeed, pregnant (that it wasn't just in my head):)

That is the longest appt. They will take blood, measure and weigh you, take your medical history, answer any questions and give you a ton of stuff to read. Let us know how it goes.

That's great that you are keeping up with your exercise! Too bad you have a cold. I may have the beginnings of one, but hopefully, it goes away before getting any worse! I teach first grade, so it highly unlikely that I will go through my pregnancy without getting some type of cold:)

Take Care!

Hi everyone!

I used to do Cathe workouts almost exclusively, but I have to modify quite a bit now that I'm using other instructors more for cardio now. Last week I did:

Sun. Janis BNB+Pilates (the step portion)
Mon. Cathe HSTA Cardio and Lower Strenth (with lots of breaks to keep my heart from going too high); Bootcamp Abs
Wed. Cathe CTX All Upper Strength
Thurs. Kathy Great Buns and Thighs Step
Fri. Cathe Push/Pull Upper and Abs

I felt pretty good this week, although I had laryngitis following a bad cold from the previous week. I used to work out 6 days a week, but I'm happy to get 4 or 5 days in. I also make sure I get plenty of rest so I have energy to do workouts!

Keep up the great work everyone! It inspires me to keep moving!:p

RE: Pregnancy Workout Check-In Week of 9/20 _ Where's Stacey??

I'm not pregnant, considering a third child, but I was wondering where Stacey is this week?? Is there a new baby in our midsts?? Hope everything is going good for you Stacey, the business seems to be tons to keep up with at this stage of your pregnancy (end or near it :D ). I guess I've been reading your posts because me and DH keep thinking about a third and I guess I'm curious how your busy life will be with three, even though I realize yours was entirely unplanned.

Sending good vibes your way and all you other expectant mothers also:)

RE: Pregnancy Workout Check-In Week of 9/20 _ Where's Stacey??

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to see all the new mommies to be and glad everyone is doing so well. At this point in my pregnancy I haven't been doing much exercise. I have too much pelvic and hip pain so I'm mainly just walking now. I still feel good physically so I'm not worried about getting back to my prepregnancy fitness level after the baby is born.

Well I had another sonogram today. The doctor says that my baby is "extremely large" and doesn't recommend that I have another VBAC. According to their measurements she's more than 10 lbs. So I'm going to be having a C-section in about 6 days. I'm not exactly happy with this news but at least I know what to plan for now.

Stacey where are you? Do you have a birth story to share with us yet? I hope you're doing well.

Take care everyone.
