Pregnancy Check in Week of 2/29/04

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good week. I got 5 workouts in, but none of them were super challenging...with the exception of Leaner Legs of course. I love that tape, and I will keep doing it in this pregnancy until I can't anymore. I just hope that my legs don't change with this pregnancy. Not much at least.

I had a pretty good week emotion-wise, and then yesterday was a really hard day for me. I just felt like crying. I did cry by the end of the day, not very much as I was talking to my dh and he was being so sweet trying to make me feel better, but if I had been alone, I think I could have cried for 2 hours straight. I had kind of a rough weekend with regards to work and all. It just got to me. I feel better today emotionally, but feel kind of nauseous and may not workout. I still hope to sneak one in later today, but I'm definitely not going to do one this a.m. which is when I normally workout. It seems to help my mood so much when I do workout that I hope I am able to get one in today at some point.

Sun: Off
Mon: 10 10 10
Tue: Off
Wed: Step Jump & Pump (step portion only, felt VERY hard. Normally a very easy tape for me)
Thu: Step Jump & Pump (Interval/Weight portion only)
Fri: Leaner Legs
Sat: PowerMax (section 2 only)

Hi all!

Here's my week:

Sunday - walked
Monday - Time Saver #1
Tuesday - off
Wednesday - Muscle Endurance
Thursday - Time Saver #4
Friday - walked
Saturday - off

Stacey - I just wanted to say that you are doing great with your workouts and that I have some idea of how you are feeling. I too find that my emotions are all over the place. Most days I am fine and then all of the sudden the impact of having a baby hits me like a ton of bricks. Sometimes the silliest things can set me off on a crying fit... just a few weeks ago I was at the grocery store and started unloading my food to pay. The checkout girl asked me to go to another line because she was closing. I was already feeling emotional that day and instantly struggled to keep the tears inside. Once I left the store I started balling. It was so silly, but I had enough that day and that was, as they say, the 'straw that broke the camels back'. Anyway, hang in there!

Hi everyone! I had a good week - felt great, especially this past weekend. We had a taste of Spring on Friday. The sun and warm weather felt great and boosted my energy level! I’m still modifying a lot, though, lower intensity and lighter weights. But I’m looking forward to Cathe’s 3 new DVD’s. After the baby arrives, I think they will help me ease back into training harder (and eventually tackle the Intensity series again).

Sun – MIS
Mon – off
Tues – Step Blast (no blasts, just the combos)
Wed – off
Thurs – Body Tech
Fri – SJ&P step&hi/lo only (morning) and a 45 min. or so walk (afternoon)
Sat – off

Stacey- You're doing a great job! I'm still shying away from LL and L&G. I've done the CTX series twice since becoming pregnant and both times I've skipped LL. I just don't know why I'm being so weird about the all leg workouts! Anyway, take it day by day, emotion-wise. Those darn pregnancy hormones! They magnify everything and make it that much harder for coping mechanisms to kick in fully. About two weeks ago the yoga class I was teaching for the winter session ended. That evening out of the blue I ended up in complete tears about it while my hubby and I were preparing dinner. It surprised the heck out of me and even then I was trying to keep the tears from him but he gave me a big long hug and boy did I feel better! Take care.

Hi everyone!

You're all doing so great with your workouts! I wish I could say the same. I just have no motivation at all. This week I did legs & glutes on Wed. and was so sore for 3 days. On Saturday I did PUB Pyramid Up premix (my biceps are still sore)and Imax 2 intervals 1-5 premix. Hopefully when I check-in next week I'll have more to report. I'm trying to motivate myself to do something today.

I know what you mean about being emotional. I haven't been crying or anything but I sure am moody. I was so crabby at church last night, I don't know why I'm so touchy. But I'm already getting tired of people always asking me how I feel and making comments that I'm already beginning to show. I'm only 10 weeks how can I possibly be showing yet!

Well I feel better now:)

Hey guys. I'm so glad that you all posted about how emotional you've all been. Thank God I'm not alone! I just can't wait to be done with this pregnancy so I can feel good again and be back to my old self. And I'm only 13 weeks!!! I have a long way to go. Of course, for me, the first 15 or so weeks, and then the last 4 weeks is the worst.

Jacque: I think week 10 was a very rough week for me with regards to motivation. I think 9-10 were the worst, and 11 was a little better, 12 better yet, and 13, hopefully will be a lot better. It's nice to think that I'm almost in the 2nd trimester and about to get to the point where I will have a lot more motivation and start being less tired and everything. I can't wait! Hang in there. You're doing great. Although I'm not showing yet, I can still tell that there has been a lot of growth in my abdomen area. I am normally TINY and I can still fit all my jeans and everything but at night, after dinner, I could REALLY let my tummy hang out if I wanted to, and by morning, it's back to normal. I think it's gas. I just don't know what else it would be. Whoever said that to you really needs to get a clue.

This week has been so hectic, and I still have 8 papers to grade for the nursing students. The paper topics are diseases in pregnancy... happy reading for me. ;) I love teaching (and nursing) but hate the paperwork.

Well, we have "The" ultrasound tomorrow, so hopefully it will confirm the boy or girl question.

I hope y'all are doing well. You are doing great with your workouts!

See ya next week!
