Pregnancy Check In -- 4/18/04

Hello Mommies!

I am amazed at how good I feel today and this past week. Exercising seems to be the big factor. I feel so much better during and after a workout. The pains and aches I've been experiencing seem to be relieved by keeping active...

Here's my week:

Sunday - walked
Monday - off
Tuesday - Tear it up
Wednesday - Circuit Max and walking
Thursday - TimeSaver #4
Friday - CTX Power Circuit
Saturday - power cleaning ;)

Ok, I know most people would not consider cleaning a workout but I cleaned nearly everything in the house -- for 5 hours! That's gotta count for something especially since I was a sweaty mess!

Just want to add how great this check in has been for me...It's a way for me to be accountable for my actions when I have lazy moments... I wish I had started it sooner! After I found out I was pregnant, I would check this board -- it was a long time before I actually posted -- mostly because I thought it was for ladies further along in their pregnancy. It's been a great motivator that can benefit anytime in a pregnancy. So, if there are any lurkers out there please feel free to post... you will benefit by posting and we would love to hear your stories. :)

Well, I hope everyone is doing well and having a good day/week!

p.s.
Sara - how are you doing? Baby yet? :)

Hey Christy - glad to hear that you are doing better.

Sara - hope that you have some exciting news to share!

My week was lousy again, but I don't feel too bad because here I am 20 weeks (tomorrow) and I am FINALLY feeling better! The past couple of mornings, I have gotten ready right away instead of sitting on the couch for as long as I could afford before starting my work or getting ready to take my son to school. I think that I will have much stronger posts in the future. I even worked out yesterday which is typically a day of rest for me. Of course, I didn't get one in yet today because I was so busy with work that I haven't had time yet, but my husband and I are going to go for a walk tonight, and then I'll probably throw in a weight workout and maybe a 10 minute cardio blast which I would feel pretty good about.

Sunday: Off
Monday: Interval Max 1-6 Light modifications
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Interval Max 7-10 and walk Heavy modifications
Thursday: Off
Friday: Off (but cleaned my house)
Saturday: Walk

My ultrasound is tomorrow. We will be finding out, so I'll post separately after my appt.

Hello mommies-to-be! I hope all is going well for each of you. Did you ladies get much sleep this week? This must be Mother Nature’s boot camp to prepare us for the sleepless nights in the not so distant future. I hope this baby sleeps as well as his sister… Sydney slept at least 6 hours per night within the first week… and she was breastfed. I had a great workout week:

Sunday: Off
Monday: Powermax (Sections 1 & 2) + PS: CST
Tuesday: PS Legs & Abs + Walking (hills)
Wednesday: KPC (skip abs) + PS: BBA
Thursday: Off
Friday: Step Heat + Walking (hills)
Saturday: PH

Stacey, I am glad you are feeling better.

Sara, I am keeping you in my prayers for a natural labor & delivery!!! Isn't today the "induction" if it hasn't happened naturally?

Have a good one!

Hi there!
Well, unfortunately I've added to last week's hip & butt pains and sore feet. My husband and I went to Vegas over the weekend to attend a wedding and I picked up a nasty head cold (Stacey-I know now how you felt!). So today I'm stuffy, achey, sneezy, throaty, AND my feet, butt and hips hurt! But I did manage a good week of workouts last week because moving does keep my legs and hips feeling good. I started the CTX series on the previous week's Saturday w/ S&I/Chest and just barrelled through the rest except for LL last week:

Sun: CTX Kickbox/Biceps
Mon: Off
Tue: CTX 10-10-10/Triceps
Wed: CTX Power Circuit/Back
Thu: CTX All Step/Shoulders
Fri: Off (travel day)
Sat: Walked part of the strip in the a.m.

The sleeping isn't great but I'm trying my best.
Any news yet, Sara?
Stacey-can't wait to hear what you are having!
Christy-cleaning house is definitely a workout when you're pregnant!

Have a good week, everyone!

Hi all,
Sounds like you all had a good week w/ workouts... :)

Diana -
Vegas is fun, isn't it? It's easy to be active in it. The first time I went I did tons of shopping and viewed a number of the hotels on the strip. My feet were sore from all the walking too. Hope you get to feeling better, soon! :)

Autumn -
I hope I will be so lucky as to have a little one that sleeps 6 hours per night! :)

Stacey -
I feel like a little kid... do you know what you are having yet? :)
I was tempted to do IMAX the other day -- had to resist the temptation, all those fun jumping moves would have been too hard to resist! I just love that last circuit with those jumps where you pull your knees to your chest. I always feel so strong after I complete them... :)

Take Care!

Hi everyone,

Glad to see everyone is doing so well. I don't have anything to contribute to the check-in but wanted to stop in and say hi anyway. I've been so lazy lately but I'm doing better this week. Just to give you an example of how bad I've been with my workouts, I did Push/Pull on Thursday and I was so sore for three days and this is usually an easy workout for me!

So Stacey....we're anxious to hear the news are you keeping us in suspense? I'll find out what I'm having in two weeks and I can't hardly wait:) Has anyone here heard of fetal fotos? That's where I'll be going for a 3D ultrasound. What I like about it is if they can't determine the sex (and you're more than 17 weeks) then you can come back anytime for a free "quick peek". Check out their website at fetalfoto.com it's pretty neat.

Christy - your post was cute. I will post separately about the ultrasound. Imax was fun. It sounds weird, but workouts like that seem easier to me than workouts that continually keep on moving. I am really liking those breaks right now. I don't know why the 2nd half of the tape felt so much more difficult to me. Actually, I think my legs were a little sore from the day prior not being as regular at exercising as I have been in the past.
