Hello Ladies!

I want to start off by saying 'Thanks!' I felt I had a good week with my workouts and eating habits. I owe a big part of that to the challenge we set for ourselves last week. Thanks! You've helped me get back on track!

Sunday - off
Monday - walked
Tuesday - Leaner Legs
Wednesday - Timesaver #4
Thursday - Cardio & Weights
Friday - Shape it Up
Saturday - Tone it Up

As far as the pregnancy goes -- it's going. I've still got minor back aches and am finding myself breathless with minimal tasks. Nothing major. My weight is on track according to my books...Yeah!
Yesterday, I finally started working on the babies room. No paint on the wall, but, it's empty and ready for some work to be done. I've been procrastinating a bit because I was not sure what I wanted to do. Plus, not knowing the sex of the baby makes it a bit more challenging.

Let's all try to make the commitment again this week to do 4-5 workouts and eat cleanly. Anyone in? I know it really helped me -- hopefully it did the same for you! :)

I hope everyone had a good week!

Hello mamas!!

Christy, I am soooo happy to hear you had a good week. I'll join you again this week... it helped me too. It is great that your weight is on track... mine wasn't last time either but I was a little lighter last time and probably needed the extra weight. I think I gained 44 or 46 pounds last time. I was within 8-10 #s of my prepreg weight at 6 weeks and stayed there until I stopped nursing. Those last pounds were gone within one month after I stopped nursing. I keep reminding myself of that when I get stressed about my weight, diet, etc.

My eating was much better... not exactly how I would have liked it (I had mexican for tow meals and a piece of cheesecake) but it was still an improvement. I kept my workouts up this week, which is very similar to last week. I will probably try to follow this a couple of more weeks and then I'll need a change.

Sunday: CK + PUB Chest & Tri
Monday: Step Heat + PUB Back
Tuesday: Kathy Smith Timesaver Cardio Fat Burner Workout 1 + Leaner Legs
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Off
Friday: Step Heat + PUB Shoulders
Saturday: CK + PUB Biceps

I know what you mean about getting breathless with minimal tasks. I still feel my workouts are pretty intense, but I am sure the intensity has been modified. I am still doing my abs flat on my back... I did get an OK from my OB... it is getting more awkward though.

Hope you ladies have a great week!

I'm glad to hear last week went better than the week before, Christy! Unfortunately, I did a flip-flop. I managed to get in the workouts but my eating went haywire. I was doing so well then I wanted pizza one night and I ate a piece of that cheesecake another night (which gave me a stomachache so I learned my lesson!) Anyway, my energy has been dragging lately and I'm definitely not working out as hard as I wish I could. It's physically uncomfortable for me to take cardio much higher than low impact. Anyway, this week is already starting off low energy but I'll eat better because I know it makes a difference.

Christy - this is our first so hubby and I opted for the gender surprise. We're having fun planning for either a boy or girl and we're enjoying the suspense, too.

Autumn - my first two ultrasounds both showed the baby's growth about a week ahead of what my LMP would've indicated so my due date was revised, too, from 8/20 to 8/11.

Have a good week!

Diana,

I thought about cheesecake all week after reading your post. My best friend, who I survived nursing school with, and I try to meet for lunch at least every two weeks. We go to this wonderful tea room (the flavor of the moment) and chocolate cheesecake was on the dessert menu. I just thought it was fate, so I indulged. ;) I didn't get a stomachache, but I feel so uncomfortably full after I eat any meal.

I am very sure of when I conceived because I was charting fertility signs. All signs indicate it was my birthday (which was the first anniversary of my miscarriage so I now have a happy memory to associate with my birthday). This is the best gift I could have been given. Anyway, the measurements were close to my LMP dating with the exception of the legs that were 2 weeks and 5 days ahead of everything else. :) The sonographer got a kick (no pun inteneded) out of the leg length.

I am hungry, so I am off to eat.

Hi guys. The challenge helped out with my workouts and eating last week too. My eating still isn't quite where I would want it to be, not so much for fattening foods, just feeling like I'm eating so much! I feel like if I eat, I won't feel nauseous, so I eat and eat and eat and eat. It's making me sick. Anyway, I went to my 16 week appt. Heart beat was 150 bpm this time. Weight was right on track. Maybe 1 lb higher than I would have liked, but they have got the most unfriendly scale that I have ever had the displeasure of using. It varies from mine by 8 lbs (fully dressed and after eating of course, but my old ob's was 3 lbs. I miss his scale!) When I say my weight gain was on track it was compared to the dr's scale at my 12 week appt vs dr scale at my 16 week appt. My next appt is the ultrasound. We will be finding out what we're having. I feel as if it's a boy, probably because we had a boy first. Dumb reason, huh? But I also feel as if my skin is breaking out more than it normally would--indicative of a boy. (Even my dr agreed with that one, but nothing else i.e. heartbeat, etc.) Has this been true for any of you who know you're having boys/have had boys? (I may post this separately.)

I got sick yesterday. I was feeling okay, but got up to make lunch and had to run for the toilet. I only threw up once, but stayed down for the rest of the day. Now I have a terrible head cold, so I'm not sure how this week will be. Definitely taking Monday as a day of rest which is usually a day I workout. :-(

Onto my workouts:

Sunday: Off
Monday: Leaner Legs with 35 lb bar. Felt the increase, but it felt good to be back up to 35 lbs. I'd been wimping out with 25.
Tuesday: Step Blast (Sections 1 & 2 plus warm-up felt as if I could have kept going except my legs were so sore)
Wednesay: Step Blast (warm up plus section 3 and intervals.
Thursday: Off
Friday: Power Max
Saturday: MIS

I am so tired of my workouts feeling so difficult. I get that same feeling as when I've been super sick and I'm just starting back in after having had to take a week off. You know how it's hard to workout for the first couple of days back and you feel as if you never worked out in your life? I just wish that would go away!

Take care,
Stacey
