Hi to all you other mommies to be. Its hard to believe I am already 32 weeks along. Got the bassinet ready but we decided to hold off finishing the baby's room since it is currently our guest room. The room is now painted a lovely shade of pink so hopefully, baby will be a girl like we were told. My energy is still good and my weight gain slowed I actually lost 1/2 pound between week 30-32 and measured small this time-31 which makes sense given my size. I did gain back a pound since my appointment on Thurs though.
mary, I wouldn't let the doctor worry you too much about size of the baby, but I would ask more questions.

Hi Ladies!

I hope everyone is feeling great!! I found out on Thursday that I'm having a BOY! I was so surprised because I thought for sure I was going to have a girl. I had my heart set on a little girl! Oh well, no pink frilly dresses for now. I know I'll love my little guy so much!! I went on my first official baby clothes shopping spree. It was so fun! I bought so many cute little baby boy clothes!

My mother in law told me today that my butt is getting big! How rude!! Ha Ha!! I can laugh because she is actually the sweetest, nicest little Italian lady so, I know she didn't mean any offense by that comment but, anyway, I'll be doing a few extra squats and glute squeezes this week!!

Mon-Off (I went for a pregnancy massage instead)
Tues- 60 mins. Spin class
Wed- 35 mins. EFX & 40 mins, weight training
Thursday-The Firm total body scupt & 40 min. tredmill incline
Fri- Off
Sat. 35 mins EFX & 40 mins. weight training
Sun. 35 mins EFX & 40 mins. weight training

Have a great week!

angie, welcome! and congrats on the baby boy. i am having a boy too. it will be such fun! as for the mil comment, it is good to have a sense of humor. my grandmother just told me i didn't look pregnant, just fat!!! have a good week:)

Morris, wow, you are still keeping those workouts up!
Angie, congrats on a healthy boy. My MIl made a similar comment last month saying I was filling out in the rear! Like yours, my mil is very sweet but why do they need to make those comments? I think people wait to find the pregnancy weight on in shape people.

Due May 29-June 1 with girl #2.

The week before I pretty much killed myself since I didn't know I was pregnant, so I decided to have a lighter week, and I'm glad I did, especially towards the end.

Monday: Christy Taylor - "Totally Hot Cardio" (I loved this!, candlelight yoga
Tuesday: Step Blast Combo 1,2,3 Premix
Wednesday: Leaner Legs Squats
Thursday: CTX Upper Body
Friday: Feeling crampy and tired, so I decided to take the day off
Saturday: Nervous about getting sick again, took another day off
Sunday: Off

I'm looking forward to getting back into my workouts this week and seeing how it goes. Once again, you all inspire me!

Hilarie

Hello ladies, well I must say a VERY light workout this week. I am having a lot of contractions(braxton hocks) so my time may be limited. I figured if I lightened the load I may be able to go longer. Thank you for the support with my dr. I have another sono scheduled for next week and and every visit there after. It is so funny...at this point I feel like I cant get any bigger and then...I do!!! We also gave in and bought another crib for the new baby. I told dh to leave it in the box until I am in the hospital just incase my ds changes his mind(which I dont see happening)I figured when we are done with it we will donate to a womens center. Keep up the great work!!!

sun:eek:ff
mon:basic step/upper and lower body workout
tues:eek:ff
wed:step blast/without challenge
thurs:imax 3/step prtion only
fri:cleaning the house(which is quite the workout)
sat:eek:ff

I just had my last Bradley class last night (we started early)...so now I feel like I'm really getting close to this birth thing!

Angie - Congrats on the boy!! I am having a boy, too, and sometimes I get a little wistful (or wishful) when I look at all of the cute girl clothes that I won't be buying. On the other hand, I won't have to worry about all of the crazy teen girl angst that I put my parents through.

Morris - Since we're due at the same time, you're my workout inspiration - you haven't slowed down a bit!

Everyone else - I hope you all continue feeling well and exercising!!

Here's my week:
Sun: Prenatal Yoga with Shiva Rea
Mon: 30 min. walk/jog, Legs of Steel 2000
Tues: Gay Gaspar Greatest Step Workout
Wed: BSS1 Cardio (1/2 hour), WHFN Pump
Thurs: CIA RAW and Fusion
Fri: 30 min walk/job, Relay for Life (we only stayed about 4 hours)
Sat: Step, Jump, and Pump (Step and Jump only)

mary - do you feel okay or uncomfortable? what are they looking for with the close monitoring? on the plus side, it is so much fun to see the babe, isn't it? makes me just itch to hold him.

linda, you are sweet, but i feel like i have slowed down. i lumber, that is for sure. i am envious of you still being able to run. i had to stop at 21 wks b/c of back pain. i tried last week again just for the heck of it. lasted a whopping 90 sec on the treadmill. went back to kpc:)

have a good week

I feel okay. I just got the call that I need a 3 hour glucose test asap. I think I may have gestational diabetes because of the way I feel when I eat sugar... especially in the morning(VERY jittery) So we will see what happens

Mary, did you have premature labor with ds #1? If you recall I took the 3 hour gestational test. Bring a good book because they probably won't let you leave. The test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Since I've reduced carbs and sugars my weight gain slowed. Hopefully if you have gestational diabetes and watch your diet, the baby's size will stabilize.
Morris, you've slowed down? Doing 2 workouts a day pregnant is slowing down, lol.
Linda, I just did greatest step today. It is one of my favorites to do when pregnant. If you on't already own it get 2 jammin workouts by cia. The step and strike by Gay G. has pregnancy modifications.

I did have preterm labor with my ds at 33 weeks, but they put me on magnesium sulfate for 4 days and that stopped it. I have been doing some research and I thought that I was having anxiety in the morning and I mean bad anxiety like I wanted to run around my house at top speed. Now that I think about it, I think it was the sugar from my coffee and my cereal which made me feel jittery. When I am not pregnant I hardly eat any sugar(I love splenda) and my diet is much cleaner plus researc says that if you had a 9lb. or bigger baby you are likely to develop it.(ds was 9lbs but no diabetes)Anyway I think this is a great opportunity to get back to clean eating a little earlier than expected and see what happens. I will keep you posted!!

Hi there everyone:

I just wanted to join in as a newbie...I am 8 weeks pregnant so just beginning, but for the second time. I have a two and half year old.

After reading all of the posts I have determined you are all crazy (in a good way). You guys work out more when you are pregnant than I did when I did when I was not pregnant. I am tired just reading the workouts. I admire such dedication.

My biggest problem these days are time, tiredness and nausea...although today I do not feel any...so far. We will see.

I was reading the posts and noted that someone mention something about the greatest step. What is that? I have Cathe's Lo Max plus her her 3 newest dvds (Body Fusion, etc). I am just wondering what other step might be good and is simple.

Talk soon.

Janet

mary - sounds like you are ;listening to your body - keep us posted. like you said, starting good eating earlier isn't a bad thing, just not always as pleasurable:)

welcome janet. we are all sort of crazy, but i feel so much better after exercise, it is amazing. but i empathize with the tiredness and nausea. it will get batter soon.

shopaholic, just to clarify lest you think i am too insane:), i meant slowing down as in breaking up workouts, not jumping so high (my plie jacks are sort of funny i think - the legs just don't go very far, you know?), and of course not running. i am happy with my fitness though, and i look forward to feeling not pregnant again. but overall i am just very fortunate to have the time and energy. we will see how long it lasts!

Morris, it is funny at a certain point the body just refuses to jump! I did imax 1 last week with few modifications but when it came to the tuck jumps, mu body just refused.
Mary, when do you take the test?
Janet, welcome! The greatest step is an older cia tape with gay gasper. Two jammin workouts is also an older cia tape by her. Both are mod. intensity and easy to follow. They are available from ciavideo.com but you are best to try to get them cheap from either ebay or ezboard.com -firm yayas(hopefully someone more computer savy can post the link).
I babbled on your other post but want to add one more thing. just realized you have a girl which makes exercising easier. Get your daughter interested in exercise, try videos at first with fun music. My daughter loves cardio party (TJ) and tae bo live.

Hi fitness mamas!
Let's see
Mon. Lo Max mixture
Tues. 4.5 mile walk
Wed. Lo Max and Step blast mixture
Thurs. Lo Max mix
Fri. Lo Max mix
Sat and Sun off, if you can say that chasing your 1 year old and helping her walk for HOURS!
:7

Getting the gestational diabetes test today! fun fun.

Have a good week everybody;-)

Mommy to Hannah Lilly born 3/25/05

Mary - Good luck with the glucose test!

Shopaholic - I'll check out Step'n'Strike - although it looks like it's not on DVD :( I also like Seasun's Rock Steady Step - one of her background exercisers is pregnant. I figure if she can do it, so can I!

I am taking the test on Saturday. My dr. wants me to go sooner but things are crazy right now. I have started myself on a glucose controlled diet so in my opinion its the same difference. I am going to bring a book and some magazines with me, the thing I look foward to least are the seats in the waiting room. Can you imagine these little plastic chairs They are sooooo uncomfortable. I am going to read in my car. Hopefully it wont be too bad

Hi Everyone!

I have lurked on this board for a long time hoping to join you and finally, I am!!!!
I am 6 weeks, and my first doctors appt isn't until May 12th. I can hardly stand the wait!!!!

I am gaining weight pretty rapidly (I have gained 3-4 pounds already - I think it is all in my breasts!!!! I was barely an A before I got pregnant, and now I am filling out a B pretty nicely :)

I have been reading James Clapp's book, and I am ready to join all of you pregnant workout goddesses.
You are all so inspiring!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Stephanie
