Prednisone--how long until it kicks in?

I am taking this to clear the fluid in my ears (oooh, that ringing is making me CRAZY). I started taking it yesterday. How long until I will be feeling the effects? Thank you to anyone who has any information.

Tallchick, it will probably take a few days. Hang in there..I know you feel miserable but relief is on the way;)

I have to take Prednisone when I have bad allergic reactions to poison ivy. I hate it! Last time, I gained 1/2 a pound a day on it!

The good news is it goes to work pretty quickly. My allergy stops progressing almost immediately, then starts going away about 2 days later.
 
oooh, I hope this does it. My hearing is getting better just not as fast as I would like. The ringing in my right ear has subsided a bit and I am really looking forward to it going away forever. And I will never, ever take my hearing for granted again!
 
Gosh, I love prednisone. I had to take it for severe lower back pain in 1998 and I never felt so great in my life. It's too bad you can't stay on prednisone for any length of time, or I would have my doctor prescribing it regularly for my back. Enjoy it while you have the chance, and I hope your ear condition clears up fast!
