Pre Workout/fat burners

Can anyone suggest a preworkout to use i get up early and have used some before n.o xplode, C4 but i know you can get used to them and i have about 5 pounds i am having trouble dropping anyone ever use a fatburner you would recommend or should i stay clear of those
 
I tend to stay away from things like fat burners as I think they can mess with your metabolism IMO. As for preworkout aids, I like Shaklee's energy chews as they have a small amount of caffeine in them and some other vitamins, but no artificial sweeteners which I find many of the drinks have. I work out in the morning too on an empty stomach - which probably isn't the best choice but works for me.
