Powerstrike Question

I'm anxiously awaiting the new Powerstrike Millenium tapes I ordered last week and am trying to figure out how I'm going to fit them into my weekly routine. I've noticed that a lot of the Powerstrike fans here comment that they get much more sore from these tapes than they had expected. My question is this -- do you think it would be ok to do one of these tapes on the day immediately before or after a day of weightlifting? I want to make sure and give my muscles enough time to recover from the weights. I normally alternate cardio and weights six days in a row and was just going to use Powerstrike on a cardio day, but maybe that isn't going to work. I'd appreciate any opinions on this. And thanks, too, for all your comments on the Powerstrike tapes. I think it's exactly what I've been looking for and I'm SOOOOO excited to try them!

Lisa.

I don't see a problem with that. I just wouldn't recommend doing a PS Back/Biceps workout on the SAME day as Power Strikes (in my case Taebo)! I made that mistake only one time, never to repeat it.

I agree with Honeybunch...and..

I'd do the weights the day BEFORE -- at least until you get used to the Powerstrikes. You WILL NOT be ABLE to do your back/biceps/triceps the day after doing a Powerstrike video...trust me!! :-wow Enjoy your Powerstrikes!

I tried Billy's very first tapes several years ago. Although I somewhat liked them, I didn't really feel like I was getting a good workout. So, I never did them again (a friend let me borrow them). Well, after doing Powerstrike, I'm on the hunt for MORE kickboxing videos. I recently did a trade for GI Jabb Warrior workout, Power Kicks (Lankford), and Billy's Get Ripped Advanced tape (orange cover)!!! Can't wait!! :-jumpy

Hi Lisa - You are going to LOVE Powerstrike. I would recommend avoiding doing strength work for your back and shoulders the day before Powermax. It works your legs pretty good, but I have been OK doing leg work the day before Powerstrike. If you really want a killer workout, do Powerstrike and the Slow/Heavy Chest & Back (if you have 2 hrs to spend, that is!). I usually do this on Sundays and man, talk about "pre fatigue!" haha. As a result, I have gotten some awesome strength gains/cut in my upper back and shoulders. Enjoy! Suzanne
