Powerbelt in Canada?

Hi!

Anybody know if there are any distributors of the Powerbelt in Canada -- ideally Toronto? US dollar exchange plus import taxes really impoverish we poor but adorable Canucks!

Patricia & HB!

I'm not sure where I can pick up a Powerbelt around here but I can do some checking. Would it be cheaper if I were to pick one up for you, then ship it to you?? HB, is the Powerbelt the "thingy" you just got???

RE: Patricia & HB!

Yes, that's one of my new toys. I think I got it through Walker's Warehouse.

Sweet, Sweet DebbieH!!!

Debbie, you are such a sweetie! What a kind offer!

I think I'll put the Powerbelt on hold for now. This is my last day in the office and then I'm going on a vacation to sunny Cuba (woo-hoo!) for a week. Costing me mega-bucks but it's an all-inclusive Superbreezes so I guess it's worth it. You should see the size of the pool! Think I'll get enough of a workout just swimming (at which I suck!) from one end to the other. I guess I shouldn't have gotten my boobs shrunk 10 years ago -- they worked perfectly as water buoys!

Oops! Got off topic and right in the middle of a thank you no less. Anyways, I'm not "seriously" in the market for the Powerbelt just yet -- just putting out feelers. I'm suffering from Plantar Faciitis right now (boo-hoo!) and was thinking of using the Powerbelt on the treadmill at the gym. Oh, we fitness nuts and our toys, huh?

Anyways, Debbie, thank you very, very much for your kind offer!

Patricia
P.S. The only belts I'll be taking in the next week will be at the poolbar!

Ha!

No wonder I can't swim very well either. My "BUOYS" aren't that big! (&, never were!!! ;-)) Patricia, I suffered from plantar Faciitas at one time also and I found after taking time to stretch it gently about 4X/day by hanging my heel over the edge of a step and slightly pushing my heel down, (No bouncing, just a static hold) it finally started healing. (& has not bothered me since!) I would do each heel for about a 1/2 minute and alternate about 3X for each heel. Not sure if it was coincidental but thought I'd share that with you. I know how painful it can be especially in the morning after rising. Have a great time in sunny Cuba http://www.plaudersmilies.de/natur/sun1.gif & I hope the only think that will be "hung over" is your heels over the pool steps. Have FUN!

P.S. If you decide on the Powerbelt, let me know.

RE: Ha!

Debbie:

Thanks for the Plantar Faciitas info. I've been doing that and doing the bare foot over the partially frozen beer, I mean pop, can that Cathe suggested on the forum a year or so ago. Also ice packing.

Trouble is, I keep on forgetting to do the stretching exercises -- the mind is a terrible thing to waste! Oh well, I'll have plenty of time to stretch in Cuba. Don't plan on spending much time on my feet, either. Just languishing around the pool ordering pina colada's and admiring the scenery. Oh joy, oh bliss!
