Power Yoga Plug!

Hi all!

I wanted to put in another plug for Power Yoga. For the last two weeks I really haven't felt much like working out, so I've done the BARE minimum. Last week I started adding PY into my w/o again. I know yoga can't replace weight workouts, but I still see PY as a huge benefit as an add on. Both times I did yoga, I did yoga exclusively with no other work out. The next day I was pretty sore. I usually do yoga after a workout so I can't really tell which one is making me sore. Well, with the deductive reasoning powers that I have, I figured out yoga alone made me sore.:+ Also, I couln't believe how inflexible I felt when leaving it out. Now all we need to do it get Cathe to produce a Yoga vid!:7

I agree! Power Yoga is extremely beneficial as an add-on, especially in terms of flexibility and balance, two often-neglected components of fitness. The trouble is, I often wind up working out for an hour and a half or so when I add it on to my workouts. This past week, I've begun a rotation (with an emphasis on strength and short, intense cardio) that has allowed me to do my yoga but keep my workouts to about an hour:

SUN: Rest
MON: PUB Up Only + Imax 2 (Intervals 1-5 or 6-10)
TUE: PLB Up Only + 30 min Power Yoga (last two segments of Baron Baptiste Power & Precision Yoga)
WED: Power Yoga (Bryan Kest Vol 1, 2 or 3)
THU: PUB Up Only + Imax 2 (Intervals 1-5 or 6-10)
FRI: PLB Up Only + 30 min Power Yoga (BB P&P)
SAT: Bootcamp (light wts or no weights for lower body, heavy for upper)

The "Up Only" premixes clock in at about 35 min. each without the cool-down, which I skip when I add on other workouts. I've really enjoyed this rotation so far.

Thanks for your review Sherry.....I will always take note of reviews coming from shoulders such as yours!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7 So what tape do you recommend??

(Your shoulders might be outstanding, but let me tell you my abs can beat yours anyday.....bigger is always better right???)

I love Power Yoga and any Yoga really. I've noticed many a time that with only doing Yoga and Cardio I get very sore from the Yoga, even more so than weights.

I have an ongoing battle with getting it all in so right now as I have been for a long time I'm getting a total body weight workout in one time a week via Cathe of course. The rest of my time is split between cardio and Yoga. I'd love a Yoga video from Cathe.

I'm doing two a day workouts right now, Cardio of the morning (said I'd never resort to a.m. workouts but.....) and weights and or yoga of the evening.

Love
Edith
