Hello, I'd like a little help getting to know what these programs are like.
**Can those who are familiar with these videos please tell me what success you have had with them?**
Are they designed to build decent muscle & definition and have you had this happen using the tapes? Can you tell me about your success so far?
Are they each a complete workout from start to finish and not too complicated with the choreography?
Lastly, is there a forum specifically for nutrition and diet?
There are so many conflicting opinions as to what constitutes a healthy diet these days.
Thanks,
Kelly

Power Hour is endurance based - fast, numerous reps with light to moderate weight. For example, Cathe uses only 15#s for biceps, but does a ton of reps. The heart rate gets up there during the squats, push ups, and lunge segments, but this is an endurance-based weight workout, not a cardio or circuit style workout. You end with abs and stretch. I didn't find increased definition with this workout, but others have said it did wonders for their upper bodies. I really like the lunge and squat segments.

Body Max is a mother! There is an intense 24 min. step section (it is very fast and always kicks my butt), followed by a power circuit section that consists of a minute or two of stepping, and then a 1 min. (give or take) long intensity blast, then squats or lunges using a barbell or dumbbells. You do 5 cycles of this, and then it is onto endurance work for the upper body. Cathe uses a 25# barbell and various dumbbells for this section. You end with abs and a stretch. I suggest a long shower and nap afterwards also!

Maximum Intensity Strength is an all weight workout (no cardio) but the reps are slower and the weight loads are heavier. Cathe uses a 35# barbell for legs, chest, back, shoulders, biceps, and triceps, as well as various dumbbells. The workout also has an ab section at the end that uses the step. I credit MIS with finally breaking me out of a 'light weight' mindset. I used to use 5 or 8# dumbbells for everything, but then I bought this DVD, and there was Cathe, doing pec flies with 20#s!!! I did a rotation using MIS 3x's a week for 4 weeks and by the 4th week I was able to increase almost all of my poundage. I really like this workout.

As far as nutrition, look on the Open Discussion forum, or do a search. You'll find plenty of talk about food there.
