Potato chips for breakfast?

I don't know...most mornings I run out the door and forget about breakfast completely! :)

I usually go through my day without paying much attention to what others are eating around me because I don't consider myself the primo example of nutrition. It is also a very personal choice and not really my business. :)

I actually think our obesity problem is more linked to lack of exercise. Most of my elderly family ate tons of lard and what is considered garbage food now when they were young, however, they never sat around. JMHO. No flames here...:)

My question is not why were they eating chips for breakfast but why were they eating chips as they were WALKING OUT OF THE DENTIST?

Oh Autumn, that really made me laugh.........all I could think of was that old Bill Cosby routine when he fed his kids chocolate cake for breakfast & he said hmmmm, milk, eggs, flour, what's wrong with chocolate cake? :7

BTW I think I neglected to mention the chips were actually packed in a tupperware container. While I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt, this causes me to think she not only planned it but took the time to pack it. If you're gonna make that kind of effort, wouldn't it be a better effort if it were healthier food? Isn't it just as easy to throw some fruit or even crackers into that container? Just a thought......;-)

<--fed children spongebob waffles and fruitloops for breakfast
I'll admit, they were the "lower sugar" fruitloops, but still...
I agree with the post above -- before you have kids, you say, "l'd NEVER do that!!!" Now I laugh at my good intentions.
I will agree that chips are not a good breakfast though. She could just have easily packed in those containers cereal. Even though cereal is packed with sugar, it's also fortified. Chips are totally empty calories. I'm actually really glad you posted this thread because it's incentive for me to do better with my own kids.

Ditto!

I certainly feed my son some not-so-healthy stuff sometimes, but you would NEVER catch me giving it to him at the dentists office!! I'd be too embarrassed!

LauraMax you beat me to the Bill Cosby routine! :+

"We wanted eggs, and bacon, and toast but Daddy made us eat chocolate cake!!!"
