Hi everyone,

Bardric is 10 weeks old and very sweet. He smiles and coos more than any of the others did. He is also sleeping long stretches at night, which is kind of freaking me out,but is also kind of nice. Unfortunately, I wake up on my own due to insomnia:-(. Mom wakes up, baby sleeps. Go figure.

My workout week went pretty well, but my knee is starting to bother me, because I am trying to do too much too fast, which is always a struggle. I love to push myself, but my knee just won't allow it. I need to take my time to get the muscles around it stronger. I think that losing weight will be helpful as well. However, my weight loss stalled and I cannot figure out why because I am really watching what I eat and working out as hard as I can 6 days per week. Oh well. As I have said before, I am in it for the long haul. I will measure myself a week from tomorrow when I finish this rotation and see if I made any progress on that front.

Nov. 13-PUB, 20 min bike
Nov. 14-IMAX I, somewhat modified
Nov. 15-PLB, 20 min bike
Nov. 16-Step Fit-jumped way too much
Nov. 17-Muscle Endurance
Nov. 18-All Step, cardio only/MIC step part only--reduced jumping
Tomorrow-REST

Yes, shopping counts as exercise:D and good news with your little one taking the bottle with your husband. That must be a relief for you.

take care everyone
Maggie:)

And the news is... Baby Maxwell (11 weeks old) has slept through the whole night 3 nights in a row! I am feeling like a million bucks.

Working out is going okay, trying to kegel more to help with the incontinence.

I feel as though my weight loss has stagnated too, Maggie. I estimate I have 10-12 pounds to go. Does the last bit just hang around while you are still nursing full time? I am wondering if that explains it. But, in celebration of getting down this far, I splurged on a cute outfit from my favorite store, Anthropologie!

It is funny, my baby has become so adept at nursing that I can walk around holding him on a pillow and he stays attached despite the jostling- for when I have to answer the phone or move for some reason.

I can't walk and nurse at the same time but can type and nurse as I am doing now. I only have a few pounds to go, but like both of you weight loss has stalled, i too have heard that body holds onto fat while nursing. That's great Emy that your son is sleeping through the night, and Maggie I hope your insomna gets better so that you too can sleep. Unfortunately Alexis continues to wake frequently, but has gone some 4 1/2 hour stretches.

Hello!
I now join the ranks of post-partum, YEAH! It's been one week since I gave birth to my baby #4, Josephina Marie (Nina) who weighed 5 lbs. & 7 oz., 19inches. I started pre-term labor contractions at 33 1/2 weeks and Nina was born at 37 weeks to the day!
She had her check-up yesterday and she only lost 3 oz. which is amazing to me because all she does is sleep every 3-5 hrs and nurse in between. I decided to give a bottle during 12am - 5am as I want to shut down the buffet so I can have some quality sleep and be there for my other 3 kids, 15 months, 11yrs and 17 yrs.
I am going to be doing the Pilates Beginning Mat Workout from Living Arts to start officially my exercise routine that'll get me back to teaching my step and Pilates classes at the gym that I've taught for over 3 years now. I don't plan on going back until after the 1st of the year.
These darn night sweats are awful! Is anyone else experiencing these? Also, my low back seems never-endingly sore, and I'm hoping it's not because of the epidural, which by the way was heaven!! I was bored during my labor, seeing that I just went through this last year, I was ready for the pain, but it NEVER came!
Anyhow, congratulations to you all and I hope I can get to know each of you and your wee-ones!
Stay Healthy,
Myra:7

Hi Myra!
Congratulations. I love your baby's name. So pretty. And what a tiny little baby. Our son (#5) was 10 lbs 7 oz--the biggest yet:p .
We look forward to getting to know you too.

take care,
Maggie

Welcome Myra! You must be so busy with a 15 month old and now your new little girl. My back was so sore too - it lasted about the first 6-8 weeks. It's much better now after 12 weeks.

I'm glad your little Nina is healthy despite her early arrival! Take care of yourself.

Hey all you post prego's, hope you don't mind, I was reading through your posts and have to say it will be fun to join this site...you are all doing so well!!!!

I wanted to add that (and I almost forgot this) after each birth, I have that low back pain also and I believe it is from how I would sit to nurse the baby. You know how you kind of hunch over a little to get them on and you concentrate on keeping them on holding your arm underneath them. I haven't ever had an epidural so I know mine wasn't from that, but I did have "the pain". Just a thought. Also, it's different holding a newborn, you carefully hold them up to your shoulder to burp them and again it's another sort of hunching forward, I'd have to concentrate to stand up straight or my back would hurt even more.

25 days and I'll be joining you (and not a day longer!!! here's hoping jr. can hear me in there!!!).

Briee

Oooh, I'll be counting down with you, Briee. I can't wait. A close friend of mine is due the 5th and I've been counting down with her too. I always think that time during the last month of pregnancy slows down, because I am so miserable. Is that the case with you or are you holding your sanity pretty well? (Your posts sound sane at any rate:) )

take care
Maggie

Maggie you are so sweet!! For the first four pregnancies that last month was an eternity and I too was miserable. But this pregnancy has been so weird. I felt yucky and tired in the first two trimesters and now I can honesty say that I feel better than I've felt for the first 7-8 months, isn't that strange, but I'm thankful!!!!! All the sudden I can work out again, and lunges and squats are getting much easier (tell me that's not weird!!). Although my endurance and cardio is not too good and never has been, my slow and heavy work that I did this week was fantastic.

I'm considering this a blessing and hope it continues until the end!!!

Glad to hear that Bardric is doing well and getting chubby. I'd love to hear the names of your other children (this might not be safe on internet, maybe email me sometime). You seem to have some interesting names, I like that!! Any unusual girl names.....just in case????

Briee

Hi Briee,
I am glad that you are feeling so great! That must be nice. Perhaps the Lord is giving you good energy for labor. Yes, it is a blessing. Our other childrens names are: Gabriel, Rhiannon, Isabella, and Malcolm. Rhiannon's middle name is Ygraine (said like Ee-grain--you know King Arthur's mom?), so she and Mr. Bardric Aquinas take the cake for unusual names in our family:)

take care
Maggie
