Happy Mom's Day everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day! Everything is going marvelous on this end. Here's my humble week:

sun: IMax2 + I want those Abs
Mon:eek:ff
Tues: PUB (minus abs)
Wed: C&W all step + CTX All Step section 1
Thurs:40min run + PUB abs
Fri: Step Fit
Sat: off

Step Fit was soooo much fun. I haven't done it for years!!! I recently got Cardio Hits on DVD & had an opportunity to revisit it. What a pleasant surprise. Kind of like visiting an old friend. ;-)

Happy Mother's Day!

That's how I felt last week when I revisited the "old" videos! They are blast...even love the music!

My week:
Sunday: Off
Monday: Off
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Timesaver #1
Thursday: Off
Friday: Timesaver #2 & 1 mile walk
Saturday: Timesaver #3

I spent Sunday - Tuesday in Orlando (company conference)! My first week back to work has been okay. Getting adjusted is not as hard as I first anticipated.

As I have stated before (and others)...this forum is great...I really look forward to posting every week and to review what you have done as well...very, very inspirational. Tomorrow is my big day at Weight Watchers...had a big brunch today...:)!!

Enjoy your week....

Hi everyone!

I did not post last week--just waaay too busy. I am just finishing the tank top rotation this week. Overall, I enjoyed it and had good results, but I tweaked my shoulder, so I am resting for 3 days, so as not to have a full blown injury.

My week

Wed. Heavy upper body home made workout
Thurs. LL and power circuit (cardio only)--major DOMS:p
Fri. Circuit Max
Sat. 1 hr stationary bike
Sun. unplanned rest day
Mon. unplanned rest day
Tues. regular rest day

I lost another pound, so I've lost 27.5 since 2 weeks pp so far.

Bardric is standing on his own and trying to move his foot forward to take a step. All our kiddos were early walkers and later talkers, so I am not really surprised by this, but Mr. B is definitely the earliest. Our 3rd was walking at 9.5 months and I think he might beat this, but we'll see.

I got my first DVDs and have previewed them on our computer. Oh they look so fun, but we have not got a DVD player where I can work out yet. I think that I can do L&G in our room, because it does not take up much space and if I move the bed I could try KPC. I am so stoke! I will never buy another video again. I am hooked on this format. (and me so afraid to make the switch:p ) Oooh and the new ones are coming soon, so I have even more to look forward too.

well, its good to hear from you all

take care,
Maggie

Hi everyone,
We went away from Thurs-today to old town. It was great seeing old friends and I visited my old jobs, yeah me, everyone said I looked thin. Alexis was a little crankier than usual being away from home. Here is what I remember of my workout week:

Sunday-fitprime-crunchtime and firm total sculpt+abs
Monday-Imax 2 +Cardio and weights abs
Tues-Helen V. -Bootcamp (cia 9905) + cathe-bootcamp-upper premix
wed-Extreme Intervals +firm abs -day 2
Thurs-Step/pump and jump/stepblast-step and weights circuit-premix +SPJ abs+ bootcamp upper
Friday-2 1/2 mile walk at the park
Sat-step class +abs (at my old gym)

Hey Maggie...I resisted DVD's too, but NOWWWWW I'll never go back, never go back, never go back!! (Lord willing :) ). Don't VHS tapes seem ancient now?

I have entered the world of P90X and I couldn't be happier. Just fun to be doing something different and way way challenging.

Sunday - Wednesday I was sulking because my DVD's hadn't arrived and I just couldn't bring myself to do anything. ;( ;( ;(
Thursday: Chest and Back (I had trouble "breathing" the next day due to mega assisted pullups, expanding my rib cage for any reason was excruciating - when I sneezed I thought I would die). Ab ripper
Fri: Plyometrics
Sat: Shoulders and arms, Ab ripper
Sun: Yoga (I had NO idea that you sweat buckets while doing yoga - can't even understand why)

The ab ripper tape is beyond sadistic. I think it "majorly" enters the hip flexors into the ab routine (which someone else mentioned somewhere else) I can't complete this tape and will probably not be able to for sometime. I like having something that I can build up to. Since I'll be doing it every other day....I should have LOTS of practise.

Melanie...I think these workouts are a positive must for anyone who wants to build some muscle...BUT I don't think you will like them because they are LOTS of weight work with NO step and the plyo tape is definitely hi/lo. I haven't previewed the cardio tape, but I can't imagine anything comparing to Cathe's cardio. I'll let ya know when I get there. You NEED the Ab ripper if you are wanting 6 packs this year - get it cheap on ebay, lots of people sell it because the ab ripper is at the end of all the strength DVD's. I loaned mine out, but I can send it to you when it returns to borrow for a while. Okay??

Ab ripper? Yeah! That sounds awesome!!!

hi everyone,

wau, that PX90 sounds extremely challenging! I'm thinking of doing some Cathe shopping soon too. I definitely want to get the slow & heavy series, plus I'm wondering about the ctx and new advanced video. Glad to hear what you think of those workouts, if anyone has a chance (though I just realized the new DVD isn't out yet.).I might just wait to hear feedback on that on before I make my decision and order. My goodness, Cathe is really addictive...;)) well, I suppose you could have worse addictions...

Anyway, here's my workoutweek:

mon: Imax 1 + Abs from BC
tue: Power Max + Circuit Max
wed: KPC + PUB
thu: Awesome Intervals (Mindy Mylrea)
fri: Cardio Kicks
sat: MIC + SJP all but step
sun: Push & Pull, 2 set premix

Rough week workout wise, but I was feeling really good, so I will ease up this week instead... This endorphin addiction is getting bad, though... you just need more and more...

Gotta run again, hope everyone is doing good,

Maria

Maria,

I love the CTX series. It is a great combination of cardio and weights that can be done in about an hour (maximum burn, minimum time). You should definitely buy it. When I use that series faithfully for at least three weeks, I see a change in my body!

Hi Melanie,

I think this was the 2nd (or was it 3rd?) time I did this workout, and yes, it is my first Mindy. I actually would have gotten some of her other interval tape, but Collage only had this one on DVD (and we use the PAL -video system, so couldn't get the tapes). I find it okay though, (if you don't take into account her cuing which I really find quite bad at times...but this won't really matter ones I learn the routine). I find the intervals aren't that tough, but it does give a challenging cardioworkout, plus it's kinda long. I can see why people describe her as the "athletic style" instructor, I think she's definitely best when not going for too much fancy choreography...;)) (taken into account her cuing especially;))). Have you done this workout? what do you think? I'm trying to do 2 interval workouts per week, so I'm rotating this one, Extreme Intervals and the imaxes. (If anybody has suggestions for any others, I'd be glad to hear them).

Maria

Maria,
I had awesome intervals and traded it, just didn't like it. Have you tried interval express? it is better cued and a great workout. Are you enjoying extreme intervals? Slammin sports is also a fun one. One last recommendation is reebok's intense moves.

Maria, I like all her videos. I just do the step portions (I don't like hi/lo). I find I can combine her step routine w/a shorter Cathe step to get a complete cardio workout. This is made possible with the DVD's (you don't have to fast forward anymore). Nowadays I"m lucky to get a 40min workout in. I'm ashamed to say that I have been just doing the 'meat' of the workouts (no warm up or cooldowns) just to save on time.

Yes, I can imagine Mindy's other workouts being better than this one, too bad they didn't have others in DVD. But I enjoy this one for variety, so I don't really mind. I've heard a lot of good about interval express though, hopefully they'll get it on DVD in the future. I wrote extreme intervals by mistake, I meant Reebok's Intense Moves (where was I again...??;))), I don't have extreme intervals (is there such a tape?). I like intense moves a lot, I love Gin Miller. (I started stepping with her Reebok tapes, so I suppose it's sort of a sentimental thing too...;)))I don't think it's as tough as the Imaxes (it's shorter for one thing), but it's nice and simple for days when you just want it plain... and I do get my heart rate up enough, so...
