Posting results from Yoga Rotation for last 6 weeks

I promised I would post my thoughts on my yoga rotation I had been doing......

I did not do a weighted workout for six weeks and focused on yoga only and cardio. My body had adjusted too well to weights and I needed something completely different. So I did yoga and cardio only for six weeks.

At first the yoga felt incredible. My body needed a good break from traditional weight lifting. However, after about two weeks I was getting the itch to do weights, but I fought it. I stuck with Bryan Kest Yoga I, II, III and ordered the Fire/Water/Earth series as well and enjoyed those - but they are completely different. It was challenging in a very different way - using your own body weight to balance and strengthen is excellent!

I did not necessarily see anything different in my body, but I feel more flexible after doing that for six weeks, but I admit I MISSED the Cathe total body workouts and weights!!!

I am back to trying a new rotation for the next six weeks already. Over the last two weeks I slowly started incorporating Cathe circuits back into my program and was honestly amazed at how much stronger I am at pushups and some core exercises!!!! So I know I increased my strength in that area, but I think the change did my body good and now I am ready for another one. I ordered RTTC and Slim and Lean and will be doing the following rotation for the next 6 weeks. I have two yoga dvds that are 20 mins in length that I will throw in during the week when I need a good stretch :) Overall, I think yoga is incredible and it was such a great stress reliever - too bad you don't have 30 hours in a day! LOL

Cathe circuit of choice
jog 45 mins/CM segment
RTTC
Imax or Low Max
Slim and Lean
Jog 45 mins/CM segment
easy day - light yoga/walk

Thanks for this post, Reba. This is very similiar to what I am planning to do. I ordered slim & lean and RTTC and should receive them any day now. I have been rotating pyramids and Muscle Max for sometime now and need a change. I was planning to do 6-8 weeks of Jari and maybe throw in a Cathe circuit from time to time. But I wanted to take a break after that before I jump back into cathe and yoga/cardio for six weeks might be just the key (don't know if I can make six weeks but at least a few weeks break). At that point I plan to get gym styles and start fresh with something new (for me) from Cathe. Ok maybe I'll throw in the new circuit and butts & gutts too!
Anyway, thanks for the idea and sharing your results!
