post pregnancy exercise

hi,I had a baby 7 weeks ago and want to get started on a exercise plan.i have kickboxing dvds that i want to do at home but since i didnt do much but walking while i was pregnant i dont know if its too soon to do kickboxing now and if so how long should i wait to start?please help!
 
Not Cathe here but so much depends on your fitness level, the difficulty of childbirth, etc. For example, I did Cathe workouts the day I went into labor and resumed working out slowly at 1 1/2 weeks postpartum and was back to full Cathe workouts, including kickboxing, by 3 weeks. I was lucky, but many women have to take it slower depending on their circumstances. Anyway, you may want to post your question along with your fitness level, goals, etc. on Cathe's Pregnancy Forum. There are several new moms and moms-to-be that offer great advice.

R.M.H.I exercised before I was pregnant and walked and stayed relatively active while p.g. and I tried taw bo 6 or7 weeks post baby and thought i was going to drop. I suggest walking walking walking. The baby will get some fresh air and/or you will get a well deserved break.
