Hi to all you moms and babies. Ms. Alexis remains about 13 pounds . She is dying to crawl and now pushes herself around and rolls across the room. She really is a much happier little girl these days. Anyway. I'll try to remember my workout week.

Sunday-Gay Gasper-cardio crazy +seg. 3 from Christi's stepheaven
Monday-upper body split
Tues-I think I did premix KPC /legs/glutes-kickbox/weights premix
Wed-Stepjam+ stepheat abs
Thurs-cardio and weights +bootcamp upper and lower premix
Friday-Mindy-slammin sports cardio
sat-was going to be off day but I got winsor pilates at a yard sale and tried adv. body slimmin and accecerated body slimming. Not cathe intensity, but I can see how pilates can help the abs and thighs.

I seem to be the last of the moms of the older babies posting, Maggie keep posting here, and if Emy still reads this post come back to us.

Maria, i started this wek with the gautlet from the terminator, as per your question last week, I do recommend the terminator for you. Despite owning the series, this dvd seems to really keep my attention and challenge me.

Shopaholic! Please don't stop posting here simply b/c Alexis is one of the older babies! Consider posting until Alexis is at least a year old, k? You truely have been an inspiration to all us Mommies!!!

My week hasn't went very well. I'm truely struggling to get a 30 minute workout in nowadays. Little Justin usually fusses throughout most of the puny workout that I'm able to do. It's downright frusturating b/c I need the energy release to be a better person. Today I put Justin in his crib when he fell asleep (he was completely 100% out) and I put Imax Extreme in. Before the warm up was even over he was awake. I let him cry for a little bit then I got him & put him in his swing. About 15 minutes later he was fussy. I needed this workout today, so I put him in his crib & let him cry at 15-20 minute inervals until I completed the workout. He cried & fussed the entire time (as he is right now)....

I'm going to have to post workout week a little later. Ciao!...

Melanie....I get really frustrated with this too sometimes. What I have found is that they go through phases. Hopefully this will change and he will sleep a little better SOON. I didn't have much of a week either with my hand in a cast....I was just too depressed to try to work around it. I did probably 3 ab rippers and legs and back and this coming week I plan to resume a more normal routine. I took the cast off yesterday and left it off for the whole day today and my hand doesn't hurt much at all. I'll ease back into the pullups and use dumbbells for the pushups instead of on my hands. I hate missing workouts.

Shopaholic...please keep posting here, you are our leader. :) :) . I believe you can call yourself post pardum until your baby reaches 20 pounds or she/he is age 5, which could fall at about the same time for Alexis!! (that rule excludes Bardric who will probably be 20 pounds next week....he has to turn 5 before Maggie leaves. :p )

Noah continues to be my happiest baby! I have so much fun with him, he laughs at everything and has an all around great attitude. I could have 10 more like him...but I would like a guarantee that they would ALL be like him!!!

Thanks for the kind words ladies. You're probably right Briee, Alexis won't be 20 pounds til she turn 5. Hope your cast comes off soon, what a bummer. Melanie, I too had many start and stop workouts with Alexis. my 1 hour workouts became 2 hour workouts as i started and stoped to nurse, change and comfort crying Alexis. She did get better when i started her on solids, if you are ok with it and his doc is too you may want to start him on cereal mixed with breast milk before you work out. This may give you a little more time as his belly will be full. You may also want to try shorter workouts for now like ctx rather than a long one like imax extreme until this phase passes. I can now do an hour and half workout if time allows with Alexis as she naps and then happily swings in her swing playing with toys. Remember my old posts, I did many workouts with a screaming Alexis.

Hi everyone!

Sorry for neglecting you all. I have been tremendously busy:eek: :p! Mr Bardric remains stuck at 21-21.5 lbs, but he is very active. You won't believe this, but he is walking. I have never had a child walk this young. And since he is not very good on his feet, his poor little face is pretty banged up right now, nothing serious, but I hurt for him, yet he is determined to do it--wants to keep up with his older sibs, I think. And not to worry--for those of you with later walkers, there is NO link between early gross motor skills and higher intelligence. He'll probably talk late, like all our others.

My husband finally got our dvd player, so my rotation got tweaked because I just had to try it out and now I am kicking myself for having invested so much money on videosx(. dvd is just so cool! I love not rewinding. I love the premixes.

Wed 19th--power circuit+ctx shoulders+IMAX int'ls 1-2
Thurs 20th--step&intervals+ctx biceps+IMAX int'l 3-4
Fri 21st--All Step, IMAX int'ls 5-6
Sat 22nd--Legs & Glutes+ctx triceps
Sun 23rd--KPC
Mon 24th--The Viper (skipped leg sections)
Today, I rest:p

Hang in there Melanie. I know its hard to work out when they are crying and fussing, but at times I have just let him do it, because working out really helps my sanity. The others had some good suggestions, and remember it will get easier as he gets older.

take care all,
Maggie

Justin is sound a sleep. Too bad it's 830pm...otherwise I'd try to get a workout in. He had his 4month check up & shots. All is well. He weighed in at 17 lbs!!!! He's such a chunky baby.) I guess he's thriving on my breastmilk. ;O) I'm not in a big hurry to offer solids, as he is doing so good w/BFing. DH is anxious though, so I purchased some rice cereal...I'd rather DH venture this route than offer something like Beef Broth (he did this Tuesday). Dad's are so funny!!!

Okay, here's my workout week:
Sun: 3.5 miles
Mon: off
Tue: TS#3 cardio only
Wed: off
Thurs: Action Packed 30min + abs
Fri: Extreme Intervals 30min + BC core 1-4
Sat: off

**it's been super dooper cold & rainy here for a couple of weeks now. I'm hoping once the weather breaks I'll be able to go for jogs with Justin. Right now I have to be satisfied with 30 min cardios. If I pick hard enough vids and add hand & ankle weight, I can usually get a good sweat going...enoough for an endorphin release anyway. ;o)

Hi everyone,

shopaholic, thanks for the dvd recommendation, I'll have to seriously consider it. Everyone told me I'd eventually get all the Cathes...;)) what can you do, it's addicting! And I do hope you stick with us, Alexis is definitely not too old!

Briee, I feel for you with your cast...I hope your hand is healing well. It can be so frustrating not to be able to exercise. Try to think of it as a chance to gather up some extra extra inspiration for your next rotation (like you'd need it...;).

My young one is growing really fast (we have the weights in kilos, too tired to convert...), and she's starting to roll around the floor (she's 5 months by now). Too bad I can't keep her there as much as she'd like as the older one keeps wanting to play with her (being only 2 yrs, I really can't leave them alone for a minute).

My workout week was nice, I'm proud to say that I finally "found" Bootcamp, I love it now! I used to avoid it, because I really felt the cardios wheren't long enough to get my heartrate up, I just didn't find the "thing" in it. Well, I tried it again, after doing Body Max step portion (I figured I'd have my heart "going" at that point), and it felt great! I was huffing and puffing and really got into it! Needless to say I felt very accomplished after finishing it!

Here's my week:

mon: Imax 1 + PS BBA
tue: Step Blast ¨+ PS CST
wed: KPC
thu: Awesome intervals
fri: Cardio & weights
sat: Body max step portion + Bootcamp (awesome!)
sun: off

Gotta go, hope everyone has a good week,

Maria

Hi Shopaholic! Thanks for noticing. I'm still around... kind of. I have gotten on these forums with decreasing frequency in the past 2 months. Life has gotten in the way, you know how that is. I like to see what you guys are up to, hence I noticed your post, but I haven't felt like posting my workouts, don't know why...

Max weighed 21 pounds a month ago. He is just huge! He is scooting and rolling and wiggling all over the place. No official crawling yet. He also has grabbed on to things and tried to pull himself up, but no luck yet (too much chub to lift!) Anyway, he also has been chomping me! He has drawn blood several times. Yikes! He now knows what "no biting" means, doesn't always obey, but he's getting better. I think I have an infection from the open sore - I have a shooting pain go through my breast and to my underarm when he eats on that side. Fortunately I have a dr. appt. tomorrow.

Anyway, I'll still be around. No checking in with workouts, but just seeing what you all (and babies) are up to. Can't wait to get my new workouts! Maybe later this summer I will get those P90X workouts. Ta ta!

Emy,
Its great to know you are still around. Wow, who is bigger Bardric or Max. Hope your boob feels better soon. Still no teeth for Alexis. She too is rolling like anything but not crawling yet.

Emy!

Good to hear from you--sounds like Bardric and Max are the same size--21 lbs--give or take. Mr B bites occasionally, but has never drawn blood (ouch!)--hope your wound heals soon and well.

take care
Maggie
