Wow, another week has passed. Alexis was weighed at breastfeeding group on Friday with clothes on she weighs 10.5 pounds. I can't belive maggie that your son was born about that weight. Alexis continues to snack all day but is sleeping better at night. She took the bottle once last week from mother in law but still fights the bottle. I will be going back to work 2 evenings after the holidays.
My body continues to hold on to those last few pounds. Got my new dvds midweek last week. Maggie, you really should invest in a dvd player, it is so great to mix and match workouts.

Workout week;
Sunday-cia powerbar training9what a great workout, I forgot how much I like this tape)
Monday-MIC(did stop between segments to nurse and change Alexis)
Tues-MIS(stopped between segments to nurse as needed0

Thurs-Step,pump and Jump-hi/lo weights circuit followed by weiights from cardio and weights

Began this week with legs and glutes really liked this tape.

We are planning to buy a dvd player this coming spring. I want time to research players to see what would work best. I would love to mix and match workouts. We almost got one this last week because disaster struck--the VCR broke and I could not do my workouts as planned. I nearly had an anxiety attack. Fortunately, my sil had an extra one and gave it to us, so I was only on my own for one day.

Oh Alexis sounds so wee and sweet--I am glad that she took the bottle from your mother-in-law. I am sure that over time she will get used to it. Maybe she is a snacker because her stomach is so tiny and therefore empties out more quickly? I don't know, but I am sure that she will snack less as she gets older. Besides, in a few months you might start her on solids and that could help her feel more satiated also.

looks like you had an awesome workout week. I will post mine later on when I am finished. I continue to lose around a pound a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, but that is the average.

Emy? you around?

take care, everyone
Maggie

Alexis would certainly look like a peanut next to Bardric. I think shs eats like me i eat small amounts all day. I am hoping as she gets bigger she will take in more food at once. She really does look like a doll. I have a picture of her my father in law emailed us, I don't know how to post it though. If anyone is interested pm me your email.

Mon- Boot Camp
Tue- Still Jumpin'
Wed- Pyramid Bonus Combo
Thu- none(couldn't find the time!)
Fri- Step Blast
Sat- Step Jump & Pump

Don't have much time to type right now, but have to say I am amazed and loving how active Max is getting! He is seeing and looking around so much more (loves looking at himself in the mirror). He is grasping much better and loves shoving his fingers and fists in his mouth. He continues to be a great sleeper - and I really attribute this to making his room and his crib a happy place to be. I never stick him in his crib when he is crying or fussy to give myself a break - so he only has good associations about being in his crib.

Anyway, I am so excited to start an all (or mostly) Body Blast rotation now that I have my DVDs. I really enjoyed Step Jump & Pump. Haven't tried any of the strength workouts yet - this week though!

Also, don't know my weight, but I can fit into more of my old clothes, so progress is being made!

Maggie, how much does Bardric weight? Max is about 16 pounds.

Hi there,
I thought I posted yesterday, but apparently it didn't show up hmmmm.

Bardric weighs around 17.5 lbs if I weigh myself and then weigh myself holding him and subtract.

I will post my workout week now--supremely bummed because I hurt my knee somehow Sunday and since walking is still a little painful, I haven't worked out since. My rotation is all screwed upx( but I don't dare do anything to aggrevate it(my knee, that is)further.

Thurs-bike and leg circuit (vcr broken:( )
Fri-PUB
Sat-IMAX II
Sun-Rythmic Step (ouch--I guess I shouldn't step the day after doing an IMAX)
Mon-rest
Today rest

I will rest until Friday, and then I will only do upper body weight work and leg floor work until my knee feels normal. Trying not to panic about this--telling myself that maintaining is better than gaining:)

Well, I hope that your next workout week is better than mine--
take care
Maggie
12 lbs down, 38 to go:eek:

maggie hope your knee feels better, how frustrating. Despite the injury, you had really kept up those workouts. Wow, Bardric weighs a whole baby more than Alexis(7 pounds more), how funny since they are a few days a part. They would so cute together, i picture Bardric with light eyes and hair whereas Alexis is the opposite dark hair, dark eyes. Am i right in the way I am guessing him to be?

Actually, Bardric has dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. But his hair is falling out in places, so perhaps it will lighten. 3 of the kids are blond and 1 has light brown hair. I have red hair, so we joke that we are going to keep having kids until we get our redhead (hmmmm we'll see:p )

You said that you could e mail a pic of Alexis. I would love that. I would e mail one of Bardric, but my husband has to help me because I don't do that stuff and he does.

Emy-what about your little one--what does he look like?

My knee is feeling better, so tomorrow I am going to do CTX upper body or PUB and then Friday I will just have to see how I feel. So much for the neatly printed rotation planned a month in advance!Oh well, one must be flexible.

take care
Maggie

Max is very light with almost no hair. The little fuzz he has on his head seems to be dark blond (some family think it is strawberry-ish) and it hasn't changed since he was born - not much then, not much now. He seems to take after me in that manner - I have light skin, blond hair. His dad is darker than me with dark brown hair (he is 1/2 scottish/irish & 1/2 mexican, which resulted in a really cute combination of dark hair, medium complexion, and lots of freckles!) If either of you has a picture to send, I would love to see it!

Hi everyone,
I've been so busy, that it seems like its been a really long time since I have posted here, even though it's only been 2 or 3 days. I decided to take the week off from exercising to really make sure my knee is up to it when I start again. I was planning to take a week off after Christmas anyway--after every 12 weeks of exercise, I take 1 week off to really rest my body. Okay so I did it a little early. I will start again--easy--Monday. I hope you are all ready for Christmas, because I don't feel like I am:p --feeling a little insane here.

I will e mail pics when I get a chance--I need my husband's help:)

take care

Maggie

Maggie I hope your knee feels better.....I just hate injuries too, but a few days off and you'll be back to new. Don't push it too fast as knees can take a while. Take advantage of those upperbody workouts!!! Shopaholic I just emailed you. And I'd love to receive emailed pictures from any of you other moms of the new babies!!! Mine has decided to not come out until spring I believe, at least it feels that way!!

Maggie....let me know if you figure it out. Emy I'll have to email you as well!!

Briee

Briee, how are you feeling? I am sure that baby will be out before spring, a christmas baby perhaps? I emailed you 2 pictures of Alexis. Let me know if you got them. The bottle is going slightly better, I've learned that Alexis wil take the bottle if hungry enough and I am out of the house.

Thanks for the pictures....they are BEAUTIFUL. She doesn't look tiny, just perfect, beautiful eyes. I've never really had a baby with hair, she is just so pretty. Maybe this will cause a rush of hormones to occur in my body and walla the baby will emerge....wishful thinking. Thanks again!!!

Briee

Hey maybe if I start posting on the postpartum thread which I technically should be (right?), my body will realize that the baby should no longer be IN me.:p :p :p :p :p :p

Briee

Ah yes, Briee, the infamous stage where one feels that pregnancy is just some cruel joke that is never going to end. Some new medical condition called "perpetual pregnancy"...:p --anyway, that is always what I feel like at the end.

My knee is feeling much better and tomorrow I will start a 2 week (or so) recovery rotation, with a lot of upper body work, stationary biking, and stepping with no step and then a 4 inch one, etc, until I can get back to where I was. I know how I injured myself this time, and I won't be doing that again.

Shopaholic--my email address is [email protected]. I would love a picture of Alexis.

take care
Maggie

Elyse, Alexis is such a cutie!! Thanks for the picture. I will send one of Max to everyone who asked as soon I get them on the computer.

Maggie, I am sorry to hear about your knee. Please don't get discouraged. Use this time to cross train, and like you mentioned, focus on other things like upper body and strength workouts.

Briee, hang in there. Also, I will send you a picture of Max soon, and I hope to see a picture of your little one soon. Where are you little bebe????
