Happy May everyone, we had a beautiful May day here in New England. I haven't weighed Alexis recently, and they no longer weigh the babies at breast feeding group but I guess her weight at a little under 14 pounds. She is still not crawling but has become a wiggle worm, almost wanting to move. Alexis starts swim class on monday-water babies 1, unfortunately this will cut into my workout time but I feel this to be important since we live near the water. Well, enough babbling here is my workout week:

Sunday-Step, pump and jump
Monday-step blast + abs from gay gasper cardio crazy dvd
Tues-supersets upper body blast-( 2 sets) +supersets abs
Wed-push pull-lower body 2 sets +cardio from ctx kickbox
Thurs-step fit + PS-bba abs
Friday-walk to the park plus twice around the track -approx. 3.5 miles
Sat-gautlet +stepheat abs and a walk to the park

Hello to everyone as well!

This week was a good one for me. I did some of Cathe's older videos and they felt good...lots and lots of cardio. Lisa, you may have to try some of the older videos so you don't get bored. I have enough DVDs to mix and match for an entire month! I really believe that Cathe's videos will get you back in shape faster than any other instructor...even personal trainers at the gym!!! I had my first child six years ago (before I discovered Cathe) and I feel I'm in better shape at 2 1/2 months postpartum now than I was with the first child at the same point! I know we have said it before but I really love this postpartum support!!!

Week:
Sunday - Off
Monday - CTX - Power Circuit
Tuesday - Step Jam
Wednesday - Step Heat
Thursday - Step Max
Friday - Step Fit
Saturday - Step Works

I threw some minor ab work throughout the week. Still trying to be sure I'm fully healed from the c-section before I really train them!

Have a good week everyone!!

Hello everyone! My week wasn't too good workout wise. As I mentioned on last week's thread, the weather was beautiful, meaning lots of time playing outside with my son and lots of baseball games. Then last night I got sick with a bug that's been going around. Here it is:

Mon - off
Tues - viper
Wed - off
Thurs - off
Fri - Legs & Glutes
Sat - Rhythmic Step (only about 15 min.)

Aidan is doing well. Babies are so sweet! Austin, however, has been having a little bout with the terrible two's today. It has been quite stressful as I am also trying to recover from my illness. But then he'll do or say something that makes it hard to stay mad at him. I guess he's pretty sweet too.

Enough rambling. I hope everyone has a good week!

Hi everyone! Boy, life get's so darn busy with a little one, eh? Even with my weekend off... I plan on spending lots of quality time with my boys...and then I'm torn b/w that and 'getting stuff done'. If only maternity leave was much much much longer!!!
I've found that I'm unable to workout 60 min at a time...b/c I feel like I"m neglecting my little guy. I've only felt this way since I've been back to work. I know that I'm a much happier/better mommy when I workout... so again I"m torn.
I'm praying for that balance...that will come with a little bit of time. Everything takes time.

Here's my week:
Sun:eek:ff
Mon:KPC QP InterDrills + Abs
Tues: SB QP 35min + SJP Abs & pikes
Wed: 60min run
Thurs: Body Max Step + Abs
Fri:eek:ff
Sat: 5K run **

**Sat my 10 year old was bored as everyone seemed unable to play. So, I tried to be a creative mom & find something for us all to do. I put the babyjogger in the SUV, along with Jory's rollarblades. I thought I'd run the 5K course that's coming in July...Jory could rollarblade along. Get this ladies: Jory couldn't keep up!! He was tired about a block into it. I was so frusturated! So being the mean mommy I am, I made his sit on someones lawn while I went ahead and ran the course. I think it was one of my fastest runs b/c I didn't want him sitting there by himself for very long. :) **

Hi everyone (wow our group is getting bigger:) )!!!!

This week was a tough one as the kids had the flu which turned out to be very mild, but LONG. I still have one throwing up. With 6 kids.....it seems to always be long!!

I don't think I ever posted my log from the week before last which so I'll post both here. Sorry!!

S - PH and IMAX II (had kind of a Marie day :7 )
M - very sore
T - PUB and SJP hi/lo 19 minu. add on and Abs, xtra heavy shoulders
W - Imax II
T - rest
F - L&G
S - garage saling (guess this doesn't count)
Sun - BC Cardio and PUB extreme again, lat machine and 5 negative pullups
Mon - Imax I
T - THE FLU BEGAN!!! AND I did nothing until Friday
F - Bootcamp and SJP Hi/Lo 19 minute add on. Negative pullups
S - PUB (my own version, heavy and add ons) and abs
S - rest

I know this looks really boring, but I'm biding my time....trying to go heavy on weights and extreme in the cardio area until the P90X arrives!!!

Oh and I sent a few of you a family picture.
Briee

Hi,

busy week once again, I suppose it's just the constant business two small ones produce...;)) (I know, only two...;)))

Briee, you ordered P90X! I'm really curious to hear your opinion on it! I don't think I'm ready for it, I think Cathe is just the right level for me at this point. Also, I understand you need a pull-up bar for it, and I know I'm definitely not ready for pull-ups. (I can barely manage normal push-ups...). Anyway, hope you'll let us know what you think of it, it did sound interesting in any case.

Without more blabber, here's my workout week:

mon: Legs & glutes + C & W
tue: Step Blast + learning some new C.Taylor step
wed: off
thu: Intense moves + PS BBA
fri: Power max + Crazy for step (C.Prickett)
sat: Body Max parts 1 & 2 + floorwork from GWW (K.Voight)
sun: Push / Pull 2 sets premix

Enjoy your week,

Maria

Does anyone know why I have to keep logging in each time. I have checked the box that says "stay logged in", but I still have to repeat it frequently.

Maria, I'll let ya know about the P90X, I haven't been this excited about a program in a long time and I hope it's not a let down. Pull ups have been a goal of mine for a while and I'm hoping that this helps me achieve it.

I have been working my back harder lately in preparation and I can already notice that when I place my hands together behind my back for the "stretch" I feel "more" back there if that makes sense. My muscles have grown a little and I can't stretch as high behind my back as I used to.

I forgot to thank you about the "hair response" last thread. You might be right, it's getting so thin now and maybe I'm just loosing the xtra from pregnancy. Usually it goes back to normal for me after a year or so, but this 4-5 month thing is a mess. When I shampoo my hair, I have have a handful of it and there is hair everywhere it seems. Yucko!!

Briee

Boy, I'm glad I don't have any hair loss. My hair is so thin as it is...I would have to get a wig. ;) Okay, now I'm curious, what is this p906? Sounds like a name of an experiemental drug. ;)

Briee, got your family picture. I adore it! You guys are such a good looking group. Curious, is your friend a librarian? There's so many books in the background!! Noah is getting so big!!!

Briee, did you get the picture I sent? I loved your family picture.
I can afford to lose some hair but no hair loss for me.
Alexis loved her water babies class on monday, hopefully she will love the water the way my hubby and I do.

I am very taken with you going for the P90X! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it (I sound as excited as you...;)))) Pull-ups are hard...wau! Yeah, I know what you mean about the back muscles. I used to hate doing back exercises, but now I really like what they've done for my core region, so I actually like doing them too. I didn't think you could "feel" back muscles, but I think it really gives a nice feeling of stability for the core. Plus I've noticed they help define the waistline and get rid of that flab there...

Now that you took up the hairloss, mine is starting to fall out now too, and the baby is 4,5 months! It is yacky and very annoying when washing... Hope it stops soon...

Maria

Thanks for your comments on the picture. My friend isn't a librarian, but a homeschooler with 8 children - thus loads of books!!! As for the P90X (doesn't that name just exude strength), you'll have to look at the site Mel, it's under beachbody.com I think. I've never read anything so highly recommended by CATHE PEOPLE. That's probably the only reason that I checked into it. I was waiting to buy the IS series on DVD, but this came along and I caved - 3 easy payments:7 :7 :7 :7 and discounts and rebates and I'm a sucker for those. If Cathe gave a discount on the IS dvd's during some time of the month, I'd have probably ordered that first. Hint hint!! I'm hoping that Cathe will see the incredible following that is occuring and do a series just like it. I didn't order her high step DVD's just because I didn't like the lower intensity and I was feeling kind of "left out", but this filled in the gap!!

I better get my tail in gear because this week has been a bad one again. Our children are "still" at the end of the flu and now our puppy has lymes disease so I've been at the vet several times this week and I can't seem to find a slot to workout. Which makes me incredible crabby!!!!

Briee

Oh...shopaholic...no I didn't get your pictures. I just checked and didn't see them in our inbox. Hope it wasn't a problem on my end.

Briee

Yes I just got them....she is just the sweetest looking little girl, what a cutie. (i'm sure you already knew that!!). Thanks so much. You BOTH look great.

Briee (I love pictures!!)

Briee, you'll have to let me know what you think of those DVD's. I'm always looking for good ones. Just splurged and purchased 2 more DVD's the Rhytmic Step combo & the Step Jam combo. I just love the DVD's!!!!!
I pre-ordered just the advanced one. I'm not sure if I'll like it though. Looks like a strength training video. :0d
