Hello ladies! Boy is life getting busy!! This weekend I and the kids went on a 2hr trip to visit a college buddy (and her four kids). We went to the zoo & spent the weekend together. Lots of fun, but I'm bushed wacked. I've never spelled that before "bushed wacked". I think it actually looks funnier spelled out than when you actually say it. Maybe I'm spelling it wrong. Anyways, I brought Turbo Jam & my friend and I and the kids Turbo Jammed in her brand (and spacious) living room. What a blast!!!!

Exercise-wise I did mediocre this week. However, I keep losing weight and it is totally due to my healthier eating. I don't want to lose any more weight or I'm going to have to buy new clothes!!! Soooooo I'm going to have to eat MORE healthy food, right?!?!? I"m about 10 lbs under my prepregnant weight right now. Pretty darn close to my high school weight, but no where near my high school body. I now have the beautiful marks of a mom (which I wouldn't trade for the world)!!

I"ve been trying to sell my jogging stroller so I can order a double, but noone seems interested. :( I've got pictures up all over the place, daycare centers, pharmacies, health clubs,... What gives?!?! I"m asking about 50% of purchase price. Urgh!!

Again, I was awful writing things down. I did:
Body Max parts 1-2 (60 min),
Mindy's Interval Express (50 min),
Janis kickbox express (80 min),
Turbo Jams Cardio Party (45 min)
I think that was it. 4 workouts. Nothing too exciting!!!

My family is doing marvelous. Jadon is chewing on his feet, Justin is beginning to babble more, and Jory is excited about his upcoming 12the birthday!!

~Melanie~

Jadon born 11/23/05
Justin born 1/17/04
Jory born 4/9/94

Melanie- how fun to make a trip. Did you go to Twin Cities? My BIL lives in St. Paul; we love to visit him. Good luck selling your jogger. I sold my single Baby Jogger for $75 to a friend, a while back.

My clothes are getting baggy too. Yesterday I actually bought size 6 pants, although the pants are from Banana Republic, which seem to be bigger.

Gus is great. He's 5 months. Hard to believe he's so old and that almost half a year has gone by since his birth. My girls (3 and 5) are learning to be great little helpers. My husband just finished a big project at work so now it's time to reign in my little nighttime boob snacker. I'm getting out the timer and letting him cry a bit (5 minutes tops) before rushing in to nurse him. He's 18 pounds- plenty big to sleep through the night. The weird thing is that he sleeps great and predictably through the day and from 7 pm to 2 am-- then the craziness starts.

Spring is here. We've had lovely weather, along with a near tornado yesterday.

My week:

Monday: Christi Taylor step, Brand new butt step (about 1 hour, 5 minutes)
Tuesday: 3 mile run
Wednesday: 1 hour, 35 minutes at gym in Mexico, Missouri (I had 2 court cases spread out through the day, so I went to the YMCA to kill time; better than my usual habit of antique shopping)
Thursday: nothing
Friday: 4 mile run/walk to playground, pushing stroller, in wind
Saturday: 1 mile swim
Sunday: nothing

Wow, just realized that was my first Cathe free week in a long time.

have a great week! Kristan

Just came over to say hi...my the babies are getting older - that happens too quick. Noah went on the potty all day today, but had 2 accidents (I forgot to ask him if he had to go). I'm hoping he'll be keep going. He knows what he's doing and loves to do it - so far. He's getting big - imagine...big boy pants soon.

Kristan, I was thinking wow wonder what gyms are like in Mexico, probably pretty tough, until I noticed the Missouri part. (my dh was in MX last week so it was on my mind). Glad you missed the "near tornado".

Melanie, way to go on your weight loss!! Blessings guys,

Briee

Hello Ladies! It looks like our group is dwindling in size. This week could have been better with my exercising but I’m battling a sinus infection and major sleep deprivation. Yesterday I took DD to the doctor again. She has another ear infection. That makes her 5th one in almost 7 months. She will be 7 months in 5 days. So far she has had 2 in a 1 ½ month period. I need to take her back to the doctor in 2 weeks. Hopefully this time she can actually have her 6 month shots without being diagnosed with another ear infection. I’m hoping the doctor will agree that DD needs tubes. I’m tired of her ear infections lasting for 3 weeks every time she gets one. On a bright note, Sunday was my measurement day. This month I’ve only lost 3.5 pounds. However, I’ve lost a total of 6.25 inches. I’ll take that any day. I can really tell the running is slimming me down even if my weight does not budge.

Here is my exercise week:
Monday – walked 1 mile (active rest day)
Tuesday – Ran 3 miles
Wednesday – Rest
Thursday – Ran 3 miles
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Muscle Endurance
Sunday – Ran 5 miles

Melanie – Great job with the weight loss. I’m glad the family is doing so well. Your boys sound so adorable! I’m sure with the warmer temperatures quickly approaching someone will buy your jogger soon.

Kristan – Your weight loss sounds great too! Your hard work is paying off. I bought 3 pairs of pants from Express on Saturday for work. One was a size 8 and two were a size 6. I’m normally a size 10 so I’m thinking the sizes are off. But it feels so good to say I am wearing size 6 & 8 pants, even if it is not true. Gus sounds like a big boy. Annamarie is a big baby too. When I took her to the doctor yesterday she weighs 20 pounds already and she is only almost 7 months. She is so much bigger than DS at this age. But I so love her baby fat rolls. Is Gus eating baby food yet? I hope he starts to sleep through the night for you. DD is still getting up once to eat.

Briee – Glad to see you check-in with us. That potty training phase can be very tricky, as I’m sure you know. DS did not start using the potty until he was almost 3 1/2. We tried everything and the daycare even starts the kids with potty training at the age of 2, but he would only go through the motions and sit on the potty but never use it. I guess he showed us who was boss. It is so true that when a child is ready they will let you know. Good luck with the potty training. Is Noah your littlest baby?

I hope everyone has a great week!

Yep, Noah is the youngest of 6. All of my boys were trained right around their second birthday. The girls took a little longer. Noah turned two about 3 months ago, but I've been too busy to TRY. He's doing pretty well again today.

I'm sorry to hear of your babies ear infections. It's so hard when they are sick!! Congratulations on your measurements!!

Hey Mel...they have a checkin for ya on open forum...the "I hate Cardio" checkin....oops just kidding! I was wondering when you'd start an "I love cardio checkin?" :7 :7 :7

hello ladies,

last week was the last week of the march rotation. it was a real goodie.

melanie- how are you? i hope you sell your jogger soon. have you tried ebay? did you get your new mindy tapes yet? if so how do you like them?

Kristi- you are doing great. you are really running alot. i am jealous. i just looked at my jogging stroller yesterday but i have yet to use it. sorry to hear about dd's infection. hopefully all will be better soon.

i started a new part time job last monday. i am really excited to be back in the workforce. it's only 4 hrs a day, which is great!

Hey all -

Kristi - so sorry to hear about the ear infections. Our DD#1 ended up with tubes by 18 months and it was sooooo good for her. I think the antibiotics she was on that first year really took a toll on her. She's now 4 and doing great - hasn't had an ear infection in over a year. Good luck!

Haven't posted in awhile, but have been popping in now and then to keep up with reading how great you are all doing with weightloss, inches, workouts and all! Congratulations all around!!!

Things have been nuts, here, but isn't that just the way of things sometimes. Hopefully I can get back on track with working out. How's the weather where you are? Is it Spring, yet? Our bulb flowers are starting to come up (the girls picked me a bouquet...kind of cute even if the flowers weren't ready :) ) but it's snowing again today. :p Can't wait for sunny days to get here!

DH is applying for a promotion/job that will probably have us moving before July. Seems too soon - so much to do! - but this may be the last time we have to move, so that's something to look forward to. Anyone move with kids? It's a new one on me, so I have my fingers crossed that it won't be too hard. Not sure how they will feel about leaving here... :-(

I am down to my pre-preg weight, but not fitness level. Have much to do in that area. Especially with summer/shorts/beach just around the corner. Have to really get firm about having 'my' time in the evenings - that's the hard part, though, isn't it...or is it just me? How do you all fit in your workouts around the rest of the family? Just wondering what tactics to try next...other than running away and locking myself in the basement :)

Have a good week, everyone -

KC
