Hello Wonderful & Fit Mommies!!

Sorry this will be so short. I don't have much time right now, but I will check back later.

This past week I lost 1.5 pounds so I'm finally under the 10 pound mark to reach my goal weight. However, I somewhat remember being smaller at this weight. I guess my body has changed with having 2 babies. That is okay with me at least I have 2 beautiful kiddos to show for it.

Here are my workouts for the week. I finally fit in a weight training day. I need to add at least one more per week eventually, but in the meantime I will do what I can.

Sunday - Ran 7 miles
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - Ran 4 miles
Wednesday - 20 minute Interval Run with baby jogger, much tougher than it sounds!
Thursday - Ran 4 miles
Friday - Muscle Endurance
Saturday - Rest
Sunday Rest

Normally on Sunday I would have my long run, but the whole family had a stomach virus so I had to X that.

Take care and check-in when you can. Have a great week!

Hi Kristi(fellow fitmommy!!),

Again to lazy to think of all my workouts but i did some running using cardio coach # love it! I also lost a couple of those dreadful lbs i put back on during my mil's visit. uh-oh, we have mother's day coming up soon:9

Kristi-congrats on the weightloss! my body is doing the same thing. i am at my weight goal, where normally my stomach is flat. however it is still flabby. i understand diet is key and mine has been far from perfect but i would think at my weight it would look better..x( . i am also assuming it's due to age and having a second child.

Melanie- i love tj cp 1. i didn't like cp 2. felt like it was just like 1 and not advanced. however i am hearing the news are more advanced. what do you think? i am psyched because i just received sj&p/sb:) .i also just ordered two kimberly spreen kickbox videos from cia. this is my first time ordering from cia so i am hoping all is goes well. i am also hoping i like kimberly spreen as you know i am a huge cathe snob:D I also want to try mindy's new bootcamp video. i've heard alot of good reviews.

i forgot who, but someone asked in the last check-in about jaden's reflux. he had it pretty bad (poor guy) however he outgrew it at exactly 6 mos. he was on prevacid, no longer has to take it..woooohooo. he still spits up from time to time but i think it's just normal baby spitting up, he's definitely not in any pain. it doesn't bother him at all. to look at him you could never tell he spit up so much he is sooooo chunky, LOL

Happy workouts to all that follow!!

Well I got in one workout on the elliptical last week. I started having breathing problems at the end of the workout so I quit all workouts till I got on a new asthma medication. I'm going for my first workout actually tonight as I've been feeling much better since starting the meds on friday.

Kristi you are really making grounds on your mileage - congrats!

Kristi- great mileage. You asked about my previous running. When I was in law school and newly married, I lived next to a big urban park (Forest Park) (Central West End). I would got up to 8 miles. I'd like to get back up to 6 miles. I actually think I could do it, but I lack the time.

Dee Dee- I just did CIA 2505 (Kick Box Boot Camp with Kimberly Spreen). Absolutely loved it. She's a great instructor and pretty funny without being cheesey. Time flew. My heart rate was pretty high but there was still a lot of core/weight work. The end was kind of a combo yoga/strength/balance/stretch thing. I usually FF though stretches, but I really liked this one.

My week:

Monday: MIC Step only, SJP step, 10 minutes of Pilates
Tuesday: gym
Wednesday: bootcamp, 60 minutes, from Keli Roberts
Thursday: nothing
Friday: walk 4 miles, Brand New Butt Pilates
Saturday: 4+ mile run
Sunday: rest

have a great week. Kristan

Kristi - that is awesome that you are down 1.5 pounds. I am just now at that stubborn last 10 mark. Did you change your diet at all to make progress on the last 10? Or is it all coming off due to the increased running mileage? I don't know if I can make it 7 miles! Your too good!

Julie - I hope the allergies and asthma let up soon!

Kristan - I thought I was the only one that fast forwarded through the stretching. The baby is usually fed up with my workouts by then and if I have to cut something out it seems like the stretching can go! What is CIA? Sounds like a great workout! I love boot camp type workouts.

Sunnydelite - I was the one asking about reflux. I hope that Nadia is lucky and outgrows it at 6 months too! Did it help when you started adding solids? We are getting close to the 4 month mark (three more weeks) and adding in food, was hoping that would help! What is cardio coach? I could use some motivation during my runs!

Well, here are my workouts.

Sunday - run 3.5 miles
Monday - IMAX 3
Tuesday - rest
Wednesday - run/walk 4 miles, 40 minutes upper body strength training
Thursday - IMAX 3, 40 minutes lower body strength training
Friday - rest
Saturday - run 3.5 miles

I lost 2 pounds last week! 3 more and I will be at my first OB appointment weight and 10 more and I will be at my goal weight!

Thanks for the referral, Krista. My baby is 8 months old today. I can't believe how much she has changed already! I am siked about getting my body back. I only have about 7 lbs to go, which I swear, are the hardest. Sounds like you all are on top of things. I would love to try running. How do you start? I have always envied joggers. They seem so dedicated and disciplined! I would love to work up to that. I am thinking about joining a gym and if I do, I think my schedule will look something like this:

Monday:chisel
Tuesday: spin
Wednesday:cardio chisel
Thursday: spin, cathe boot camp
Friday: break
Saturday: spin, cathe muscle endurance.
Sunday: break

I am having a hard time with the lower half of my body. Like you all said, even though I am close to my original weight, my hips seem bigger and my body is just different. I can't wait to fit into my old clothes again!

Hi Annette,

It definitly helped with introducing solids. He never spit up after solids. I an sure Nadia (love that name:) ) will be just fine. I know it's scary. We didn't sleep for at least his first 3 months. However jaden is doing just great as I am sure Nadia will too.
check out www.cardiocoach.com. i have #4 and just love it. I am going to purchase 5 & 6 eventually.

Hi ladies. I feel so AWOL lately. Life is just so incredibly busy. I check in often, but not long enough to actually post...just to lurk. ;)

I didn't write down workouts this week AGAIN. Am I bad! We went to my MIL house which is about 6 hrs away. This was our first trip in the new Sienna with the 3 boys & our very old chocolate lab. It was tough. Our two year old was the most challenging---which is totally age appropriate for him to be! The trip REALLY put us into overdrive & strained our family time for the week. THEN DH got sick on Thurs, took him to ER and he was admitted. He's still there. :( I miss him terribly (and feel exhausted w/ the kids and keeping things together). DH is getting better & hopefully will be discharge tomorrow.

Baby Jadon is doing great. He's 5 mos old already. He's a pro-nurser...and is easy to make happy. He still has no hair, and everyone continues to marvel at his two deep deep dimples (his mom doesn't stop marveling as well). He's getting on all fours and appears to getting ready to launch into crawl mode very very soon (which will be our earliest crawler yet).

I ran a couple of times, did Turbo Jam, and the new Mindy Kick Butt Boot Camp. Sunny, please send me an e-mail [email protected] I don't have your e-mail address & I want to give you my reviews (but I don't want to bore everyone else with the details). ;)

Kristi~ congrats on weight loss. Are you pushing those kids during your runs?

DeeDee (aka Sunny)~ I have tried CIA vids, some are good, some are not...as there are different instructors. Cathe first started out as a CIA instructor. :) YOu don't have any wt loss stats on your signature...does that mean you've met your goals@??@@?@?

Julie~ Do you have exercise induced asthma? How are your workouts this week?

Kristan~ Okay you two, now I want to get that CIA2505, you guys make it sound so fun! You must also be a little worn out on Cathe? No Cathe this week?

Annette~ It seems thatmost babe eventually outgrow reflux...normally when they begin to sit up and move around more. Jadon has a little reflux, or 2nd son had lots & did eventually outgrow it.

Welcome Heidisue!!! 8 mos is such a fun age!! Is your little one beginning to crawl?@?!

Hope everyone has a great week!

~Melanie~
