Portabello mushroom pizza recipe

Thought I'd share one of my new, clean eating recipes that is so easy and delicious.

I get the large portabello caps, remove stem and then after putting some EVOO on, grill them gill side down. After I flip them, I place about 1 TB pizza sauce on each and then some low fat italian shredded cheese. I also top the cheese with italian seasoning, basil, garlic powder, and also small amount crushed red pepper.

I then place under broiler until cheese is melted and golden brown.

Nutrional benefits from mushrooms

Buckeyegirl, thanks for the recipe. I have "discovered" mushrooms only in the past six months or so. I find them easy to add to most meals (e.g, cutting back on the size of rice servings, and throwing sliced white mushrooms in the pots with the rice). Mushrooms are tasty and filling.
