For anyone who cares, here's a link to about a thousand links measuring various pollutant outputs from different countries. The ones that matter are municipal waste, sulfur oxides, SO2, CO2, CFC consumption, nuclear waste, pesticides, freshwater pollution, phosphorous, and fertilizer. Paying attention to the per capita measures which is the fair way to measure things, SURPRISE, the U.S. leads in exactly one category, that being CO2 emissions. Seems we aren't polluting as much as one might think, or if we are, seems like we clean it up pretty well. Guess we need more gym-goers over here so we can muck things up more.
