POLAR F11 HELP!

Tammy, I wish I could help you. I believe this is the model I took back last summer because I couldn't figure the darn thing out! I got the Polar F4 instead, much more straightforward.

Sorry. Hopefully somebody has this model and can help.

I've had the F11 for a while now and am still stumbling my way around with it. You have to go to Program, then *Create* to set up a training program, I believe. Then, I *think* you can press Exercise, go to Settings--then go to HR Set. You can choose Ownzone (I still don't have that figured out), general, or silent. I personally go to silent, then to edit, then to HR limits, then I pick the one that I want--light, moderate, hard.

It's really complicated, if you ask me, and annoying. Like I said, I still can't get the OwnZone to work right. You warm up with it and raise your heart rate 10 beats every time it beeps, but I never get it right and then it sets a ridiculously low level for me to train at. I am hoping that someone here can offer better advice on how to use the HRM, though!

Also, you can go to the Polar web site and download a PDF of the directions. It sort of helps.

Let me know if you figure it out, Tammy, especially if you get OwnZone to work. I could use some help myself.

Not that this will help you, but I just wanted to let you know, Tammy, that I'm just like you: very good with computers and technical and mechanical things of all kinds, but those HRMs drive me nuts. I buy the model that does nothing except read your heart rate. I don't even want it to tell me the time! I've been urging people on these forums to get the simplest models available, but I'm not sure if anyone is paying attention. I'm just posting because maybe someone who is about to buy a HRM is reading this.

Good luck!

Well, I used it this morning and I got it to do what I wanted. I'll figure out the rest as time goes on, as my OCD tendancies won't let me forget about this.

Good luck! Definitely PM me if you figure out any of the secrets of this damn thing. Wish I had gone with a less complicated model.
