I agree, Pippa. I woudl love to go back to the biblica "eye for an eye." Maybe someone should strap her down to a dirty mattress and refuse to feed her. I wonder how much she'd like that.

I signed it! (And I passed it along to friends!)I also signed the petition to boycott Exxon Mobile (which I've been doing for years anyway) Thanks, Lorie for working to keep us all informed and active in these issues!

You know, this sort of thing just infuriates me. People that treat animals this way have absolutely no respect for life in general, so in my opinion, they should forfeit the rights to their own life, and be required to lose some of it behind bars. Does anyone know what happened to the poor dog? Did they have to put it down? :(

THIS IS AWFUL! I cried when i saw it. I have had a boxer for a family pet all my life and i can't even imagine treating an innocent animal this way. I think that the punishment should be what the dog went through. The person should be up and sat on a matress and left to starve and sit in their own feces. i'm totally disgusted with this. i can't believe anyone could do such things to animals.

I hope
>she loses her license because she definitely should.

I read the article that you posted a link to and it stated that she didn't even HAVE a license! Stupid woman. She definetely deserves serious, serious punishment.

Oh and the second link you posted listed all the animal cruelty charges in GA for the past couple months. I wouldn't recommend that anyone read those. You'll be sick to your stomach and crying for days. They're just beyond horrible.

Any way to sign without seeing the photo? Thanks for the warning - I am a very visual person and seeing something disturbing is very difficult for me. I can't even read the comments because I'm afraid I'll read something that would cause me to create a vision in my head (I'm an artist and this just happens...)...

But I cannot tolerate cruelty to animals. And boxers are such beautiful animals...

Can I give someone my e-mail addy?

Thanks,
Liz

There is such rampant abuse to animals is so many forms, legal and not, that it just sickens me. Every time I look into my dog's eyes, all I can think is "Thank heavens THIS one is happy, healthy and living a good life." I don't know how anyone who has been touched by any animal can look at a creature and say, "Oh, that's just an animal."

I was wondering the same thing. Based on the posts here I don't think I can handle it.

I am the excact same way, I could not bring myself to open the link up. These horrific acts stay with me forever and I get nightmares, I am very sensitive-I am an artist too. The comments already have created horrid pictures in my head too.

Is there a way to sign without having to look at the picture Lorrie?

I am not sure how you can sign without seeing the picture because it's right there. Maybe have someone sign it for you?

Sorry about that. I always feel conflicted about posting something like this, but then I think that these stories need to be told and people need to be made aware. Also, it helps to have as many people speak out as possible.

I do understand how these images stay with you. I have seen so many things working in rescue that are burned into my mind forever. I just tell myself it makes me work harder for the animals.
