Thought it might be nice (?) for those of us who have lost weight and kept it off to share how we did it, re – diet. I just thought this might a fun way of sharing how we stay lean and the path that we follow: So here goes mine.

For Breakfast I eat a Turkey Rasher Wrap, Snack I have cottage cheese with Pineapple, Lunch is half a baked potato, big green salad, butter, cheese and chicken. Second snack, apple and some string cheese or nuts. Dinner 3 eggs, 3 eggs whites, bacon and 1 piece of toast with butter and Vegetables. Total calorie intake is probably 2,300 - 2,700 per day.

I exercise 6 days per week. Heavy weight training 3 days, Body Pump twice a week, Deep Stretching twice a week. I also walk for 10 minutes each day, no matter what.

I eat the above, with a few variations mostly. I lost 20lbs of fat and have maintained my current weight ofr over a year with a body fat of 8% (I’m male). The diet that I follow is called The Schwarzbein Principle.

Looking forward to hearing everyone else’s.

Hi Wayne,

Your diet sounds wonderful and it must be great to be in shape. I am a female and was wondering how a women would vary it since 2300-2700 cal is a little much for me. I do not do as much weight and i only do 40-60 mins of cardio everyday.

Thanks
Aisha:)

Get the book The Schwarzbein Principle and you will find it fantastic. It is the best nutrition book i've ever read. It dispells all the lowfat myths that exist...see how it goes.

Good morning!

Wayne- I just ordered The Schwarzbein Principle. I've been using the LA Weightloss Program since July 2002 and to date have lost approximately 55#s and about 28 inches off my body in tandem with Cathe, The Firm and other videos. I've been nursing lower back pain for several weeks now and have maintained my weight without gaining too much (actually 2#). The concept of this program fits perfectly with my lifestyle and it's based on losing the weight, not the lifestyle. You can eat "real" foods and still lose weight. No overly strict diet regimens of special foods, shakes or medications.
Working one-on-one with your personal counselor through the process, learning to stabilize at a healthy weight without a strict diet.
You also learn to use the tools for maintaining your optimum weight for a lifetime. Sorry if this sounds like an infomercial, but its true - all of it. I find that the one on one that I have with my counselor is my greatest tool with the program. She is there for me - night or day - facing every day challenges and helping me through them. Currently my program will be reactivated since my back problem began and I'll get back on track. I've been on every program under the sun - this one did it for me. In fact, my very best friend recently joined (she's in San Antonio, TX) with three of her co-workers and they are losing weight already!

Take care,

Iris
