My friend's son who is only about 1 year old and was born premature with muscular distrophy and in the hospital for the first 3-6 months of his life is now BACK in the hospital! He was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer at the beginning of the week! They are starting a 4 month chemo treatment on him on monday. His parents are ofcourse LIVING at the hospital and will be for the forseeable future. The boy's mom is a SAHM so my friend (dad) is the only one working. He is applying for an extended leave with pay. Please pray that he qualifies so that he can be with his son and his wife!

THANK YOU!!!!!

Oh, Wendy, I'm so sorry for your friend and her family. I'm sending lots of good thoughts and positive energy their way. Please let us know how things are going for them.

I am saying a big prayer for your friend's family. I prayer for a full recovery for the baby. I had no idea that babies that young could have cancer, at 1 year of age. I knew that young kids could have it, but not babies.;( , I am so sorry to hear this. {{HUGS}} to your friend.

Wendy! How horrible!! Poor little guy!!! Definitely prayers, good thoughts and anything else I can do coming your way. My heart goes out to your friend and her son.

Wendy, many hugs and prayers are being sent to your friend's entire family and also to you for being a wonderful, supportive friend who will undoubtedly be giving strength to them.

That poor child. So sad for the parents to have to go through this. Prayers headed their way--and your way, too.

Wendy - prayers of course. And I hate to say this, but please pray for God's will. I know every case is different but my cousin had twins and when the little girl was 5 months old they found inoperable liver cancer. I'll spare all of the awful details, but she finally passed when she was 9 months old. To see the emotional roller coaster of hope and despair and hope and despair was devastating! It was so hard on everyone in the family. This was capped off with a surgeon calling one day to say the child could be cured with a liver transplant, he had a liver with his team on standby - only to find out the cancer had spread and there was no hope. The little girl passed the next day. I pray that your friend's situation turns out better, but also that the family will not have to endure that emotional hell.

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is.
