I combined Hal Higdons beginner rotation with High Intensity rotation from Cathe and also a Body Fat burning workout to shape the legs. Am I missing something during any of the weeks? Too heavy on lower body? Not enough stretching? let me know - - I have spent hours putting this together and need some fresh eyes to see it!

Reba, I think your rotation looks great!!! As I have run forever the only thing I would say is you might want to get your weekly miles up to about 25 or 26. I have not ever followed Hal so I am not sure what he says about weekly mileage...also never increase your weekly miles by more than 10-15%...for example 20 miles one week, then increase to only 22 or 23 the next week. Hope that makes sense...:)...Carole

Thanks Carole! I was hoping you would answer to this one! I notice you have amazing workouts posted everyday and hope to get up to that kind of mileage. I love running!!!! And some days I feel as though I could go forever.....but when I run a course or trail with hills - I am toast in about forty minutes! Ugg! Thanks for your advice :) Will take a look at increasing about 10% each week. I would like to run my first FULL marathon this fall, and will use your advice to increase 10%. My cousin said the same thing and she runs marathons alot too!:9

You are quite welcome Reba. I have so enjoyed seeing more runners on the daily check-in! I also love running and true some trails are brutal but alot easier on our bodies as we age...unless of course you fall...:)...Yes, I have...:)...Now your first marathon this fall!! Way to go...You will definitely have to let me know how the half goes. I bet it'll be fun for you. Competition really gets the adrenaline going. I know your cousin will help you out alot and be a great support for you.

Thanks for your kind words and truthfully I did say once I'd never run a marathon...:D :) Carole
