I would not make the assumption that you have been spinning your wheels and not accomplishing anything.
I've been working hard for four weeks now and I haven't lost a lot in pounds. But hey, my face is getting leaner. I'm getting stronger. I ahve more indurance. Those things are measurable gains.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to keep going. Make sure you are shaking things up with different rotations every four to six weeks.
Another nice perk is to have your fitness level evaluated with a trainer. It might be worth it to have an objective opinion from a professional. I would certainly do it if i had the extra cash.
