I am stuck. I feel that there are parts of my workout missing. I'm good about cardio, but I will blow of weights and core training in a heartbeat. I love circuits but sometimes I feel like maybe I need more strength and core work to see results.

Okay here is my question, can I get good results and lose weight if I split up my routine. Here is what I'm thinking:

Day 1- cardio+legs
Day2-cardio+core
Day3-cardio+upper
Day4-cardio+core
day5-circuit
day6&7-rest or cardio
My core and lower body I really dislike working. Core being worst body part. I have flabby abs and a spare tire.

I know my diet also plays an important part in this.

Any help would be great.

Thanks a bunch!!

Jenn

The only thing i see missing is back and bi unnless you are adding them into the upper.
I consider my upper bi and chest.
It looks good if this is what you are doing.
The upper may be a really long w/o all together.
How long are you planning on cardio per day?

Hi Jenn. Don't know how much weight you're trying to lose or what your stats are right now - but I didn't really start to drop the weight that I needed to until I decreased my cardio. I was doing a lot of resistance training and a lot of cardio every day (about an hour and 45 minutes to two hours total)and going nowhere. Wasn't until I lowered my calories and lowered my workouts, esp cardio, that I got some results. Here's where I talked about it more: http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?..._id=339702&mesg_id=339702&listing_type=search

That just looks like a lot of cardio. Good luck.

Jenn,

Your rotation loooks a lot like a version of CTX. Have you considered doing that? The core work is very good in that series, too.

P.S. I would certainly recommend a rest day - or a yoga/stretch day, if you can't bear that thought of a day of "nothing" ;).

Thanks ladies,

I just need to really figure out why my bod won't let go of the fat!! It so frustrating.

Lorrie I read your other post, thank you for sharing.

I do about 30-60mins of cardio at least 3x a week and usually a circuit format for weights. Hardcore Extreme or Terminator. I am 35(almost 36) 5'3 weighing at 176. The number on the scale frustrates me so much, I feel like I try but could and should try harder. But as they say old habits die hard and don't spend much time with people who are health concerned,( eat whatever and don't exercise, complain about thier weight):-( .

That's why I like these boards. You guys are different from the other people I know. More health concerned and share my like of exercise. ;-) }(

I would like to lose 50lbs, but I don't really have a goal set to do it. I would like for it to happen but my life will still go on if I don't. I just don't want to gain anymore.

So I need to focus on my eating and try dropping the cardio and upping the weights.

I have to remember I am in control and I am the only who can determined the fate of my weight.

Thanks again for all your help.

:)
