Please Help! Finding Family In New Orleans

Please help! I have a family member who was hospitalized at LSU in New Orleans when Katrina hit. She is dying of ovarian cancer. We know the hospital has been evacuated and according the the other LSU hospitals, patients were sent to Lafayette, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Atlanta. I have called every hospital in Lafayette and Houston and they don't have her there. I also talked to the VA in Houston where planes are landing carrying evacuees and she hasn't come through there. I know there are many at the airport in New Orleans still, of which she could be one of. We also recognize that she may have died. We last talked to her Monday after the storm. I have left my name and her infor with the Red Cross. Does anyone have any ideas or inside tracts?:-( :-(

Susan,

I can't imagine how worried you must be. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Please update your post when you have news.

Michele

I don't have any more ideas but wanted to tell you I'm so sorry, and I'm sending prayers your way. Please keep us posted.

I can only imagine how worried you must be! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, as is everyone else who is "looking" for family members after Katrina!

First, I want to thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. Last night, my sister's SIL received a text message on her phone from a volunteer. They have found my family member, she is alive and at the LSU field house in Baton Rouge. We are all sitting today awaiting a phone call from her. :) :) :) :)

Thank goodness!! I'm so relieved for you, Susan. Thank you for the update and I will continue to pray for her and your family.

Michele

Susan--

Praise God that she is found, you must be enormously relieved.

take care
