Pituitary tumor

Has anybody undergone surgery to remove a pituitary tumor ?
I have been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease; will be seeing a neurosurgeon on Tuesday to discuss a probable surgery date. Any information... length of surgery... recovery time...etcetera, greatly appreciated. I have looked up information on the net, but I want feedback from REAL people, know what I mean ?

I don't have any experiences to share regarding Cushings disease but would like to wish you luck with your surgery. Please keep us posted.

I don't know anything about it but I had a bunionectomy a few years ago and I found a surgery message board that was very helpful. Unfortunately I can't remember where it was. Maybe do a google search for surgery message boards? Also, WebMD.com is a good website to check out- lots of good info there. They may have a message board too.

Good luck w/ your surgery and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if you are unsure about anything.

Unfortunately, I also don't have any info for you but wanted to wish you luck. I imagine there must be some kind of support group out there- have you tried a Yahoo search?

A friends daughter had the same surgery about 10 years ago and it went great for her. I think she *was* off work about 6 weeks was the only thing that was hard for her because she got pretty bored.
