Pitbull Clothing

I just got my order from Pitbull and I really like the stuff! Its nice and thick and the liners are well made. I am a bit worried about washing some of the stuff because of the multiple colers (e.g. black with white stripes). Can anyone remember what you are supposed to add to the first wash to set the colors? I think it is salt that does it, but can't remember! I want to wash them once to set the colors. I think I'll also just hang them to dry so they last longer and don't shrink!

Hi Punky! I think I have always heard to soak them in a mixture of white vinegar and water to set the colors. Can't remember the % of each though??? Did you think that the Pitbull stuff ran REALLY small? I am a bit worried about washing mine, although I WILL! Ha!!

Hi all,
I have had several things from pitbull for a couple of yrs now, and I am the worlds worst about putting things in the dryer, and having to run it several times cause I forget to unload (or just dont feel like it), and have had no problem with shrinkage at all. I also do not take any special care when I wash them, and have had no problem with the colors running--but if you want to still soak, it is salt in cold water, or vinager that will set the colors.

Wow! I learned something new! I had no ideat that "anything" set colors. Hmmmm, I wish I would have known that years ago before some of the kids red and white stuff (shirts) turned pink! Ha!

You guys are the best! Thanks for the info that they are hardy - I guess I'm just paranoid because I've been known to ruin a new piece of clothing before I even wear it by running/shrinking it in the wash.

I feel better now that I know they are hardy.

I did find a couple of the things - one top in particular was a bit small for a medium, and then another seemed a bit large - not so much the size as the design. But overall I'm very happy. There was one pair of shorts I got that I might order a few other colors of, that match the v necked tank top - would be great for a cruise, or the summar time!
